The PAC-MWC Dominoes Begin to Fall/Conference Realignment

$15 million up front + league revenues would go a ways at places like SJSU or Akron...

I mentioned the sports mix because (slightly OT) Cal Baptist is dropping three sports at the end of the school year including men's golf, which the Big West sponsors. They aren't poor and they don't have the burden of football either, yet they are slimming down.
Football isn’t a burden. Low Testosterone would be a burden.
I do want the Hornets in FBS, but I fear for attendance on Tuesday-Thursday night MACtion games, off campus most likely, against the likes of UMASS, Buffalo, Akron… is anyone confident we will draw bigger crowds than Hornet Stadium just because our title is FBS possibly?
the revenue of being FBS in the long term is our goal. The short term of playing non traditional game nights is part of the growing pains we must pay if we end up in the MAC.
I see this as a 3-4 season investment into our future,

Move to BW is going to save $1M+ annually in travel alone. Going from $181 to $231 per semester for intercollegiate athletics fee will generate upwards of $40,000,000 over the next 10 years. So ya, we’ll be able to pay it off.
Two new campuses should increase the Sac State student body to 35,000 students. Maybe more once the downtown campus is activated with new AI major.
That increases the FB budget quite a bit. Has anybody seen how many new students are expected at the 2 new campuses?

Campus
Approx. Student Capacity (Headcount)
Main Sacramento Campus
~31,000+* (present scale)

Placer Center (Future)

~20,000–25,000

Downtown Capital Campus

~1,000–2,000 (early concept)*

💡 Total Potential Enrollment

~52,000–58,000+

Strong add. Given the MW was contractually obligated to consider a FB invitation pertaining to the phags, does that mean they passed on a MW FB invite? With the MW-Pac lawsuit on-going, I seriously doubt the MW would ignore that clause in the contract. Interesting.

Some information I’m getting from a internal source says : in regards to stadium they are cookin and that as alumni we will be very proud with the upcoming reveal..in their words very very soon for the reveal.

I know it’s vague but there is some excitement that they couldn’t get into with me.

Like I’ve been saying, SAC to MAC, stadium pivot we will really like, and full steam ahead before 2031 realignment/media deals are renegotiated and the PAC and MWC might be ready to have a look at us.
