Agreed. He accounted for 5 tds without turning the ball over.Way better.
Their defense was actually incompetent. Get a defense who can contain him and he's going to make a lot more mistakes and won't be able to run.He actually looks a lot better than last year to me.
I’m not sure where N. Iowa rates in the MVFC this year, but any opponent from that conference is going to be a tough out. It’s not like we played the little sisters of the poor.Their defense was actually incompetent. Get a defense who can contain him and he's going to make a lot more mistakes and won't be able to run.
Somewhat true. He’s probably not doing that against the top defenses in the Big Sky, but he did what ne needed to in this game. Credit where credit is due.Their defense was actually incompetent. Get a defense who can contain him and he's going to make a lot more mistakes and won't be able to run.
Well they won 3 games last year, one was EWU. I don't buy the whole conference is a step or two above the rest.I’m not sure where N. Iowa rates in the MVFC this year, but any opponent from that conference is going to be a tough out. It’s not like we played the little sisters of the poor.
Well I had this game as a win in the prediction thread. I said "both teams suck, we'll see who sucks less" seemed pretty accurate to me tbh.Somewhat true. He’s probably not doing that against the top defenses in the Big Sky, but he did what ne needed to in this game. Credit where credit is due.
I am worried about the injuries. Samarai Anderson non-contact injury looked really bad. I have no idea what happened with Perez. Bell has improved and this is a more fun team to watch than what we have seen in awhile. Hopefully we are healthy enough to win more than the 5 games we won last year.Played well in the second half. UNI wasn’t too good, but neither was NAU. I struggle with a lot of things Eastern does, there’s just too much gimmicky bullshit in our game. Unlike many other games, though, we were the team that made the proper adjustments and got it done.
One thing I’ve noticed two weeks in a row, Drew Carlson is our best receiver early in the game and then doesn’t play hardly at all in the second half. The kid gets himself open… I don’t understand why he’s such a weapon and then barely plays after the first few series.
We need a running back, bad. I’m wondering if little Bell is going to be the guy who ultimately fills the RB position. The other guys don’t get it done.
Sucks for Perez, he was in a boot on the sideline. Didn’t look good.
I couldn’t even partake in the board last week as I was so disgusted at the NAU game.
Carlson got injured in the first half and never came back into the game. Looked like an ankle to me. Branch also took a knock to the head and wasn’t even dressed the second half but that looked more preventative than anything else. I didn’t notice Perez came out. The injury to Anderson looked like ACL or MCL.Played well in the second half. UNI wasn’t too good, but neither was NAU. Sorry, that’s what i meant…. Numbers are only one apart, so my brain flipped them.I am worried about the injuries. Samarai Anderson non-contact injury looked really bad. Carlson was in uniform on the sideline. Even participated in the offensive meetings. No idea why. I thought Branch got hurt on that ball he laid out for on the sideline.Carlson got injured in the first half and never came back into the game. Looked like an ankle to me. Yea the same deer family has been around forever. I'll see them around the URC or when I lived at the Ana Maria Apartments. They'll just chill on campus even during class. No one bugs them, they don't have to deal with deer season, people probably feed them.Carlson was in uniform on the sideline. Even participated in the offensive meetings. No idea why. For anyone who was at the game, did anyone notice the family of deer hanging out across the street by the Science building? New fans, apparently.
