I think the biggest issue he had last year was timing with the receivers and that game experience that improves making adjustments with the receivers when plays break down. For what it's worth, I have total confidence in West. He has an outstanding OL, the best receiving corps in FCS and RBs that will hopefully stay healthy this season.
I definitely think we have yet to see the best from West. From what I have heard, he's improved a lot since last fall. That was a really tough position to be put into last season, and he handled in very well.
All I'm saying is that Oregon will really be his first "big" game...and I'm not sure he's really been tested in that regard yet. In the games he started in last year, we relied heavily on the running game. He will have to make a few big plays against Oregon.
