Just to let you know if you haven't heard as yet. Brandon Kaufman is out for the year with the broken hand. :thumbdown: I saw it on SWX 11:30pm evening news. I spoke to Kauf last week, he did mention that when he catches a ball, the hand hurt very much.
We will miss Kauf

I guess this is good and bad news, sucks Kaufman is done for the year, but it will be nice to have a healthy Kaufman for 2 more years down the road. With all the injuries this year and all the young guys having to step in, we really won't lose a lot of starters to graduation.

Having a WR like Kaufman for his first two years is going to be a godsend for whoever wins the starting job next year... be it Fishback or Adams. And with lots of young guys getting experience, we could be a really tough, deep team next year. :nod:

Spoke to some of the Players inquiring about Nelson Fishback, they stated he left and went to Butte, College in California :thumbdown: :thumbdown: . I hadn't seen him, so I inqired, found out he had left about two weeks ago. Lets hope he returns at a later date. Bo graduates next year, that will leave us with some outstanding Quarterbacks to fill in after Bo departure.
The team did practice yesterday in the rain, I mentioned to some of the Coaches, I was either "DUMB or DEDECATED FAN" to be out there in the rain, they stated we were a little of both. :lol: :lol: Lets us hope we can get another "W" at NAU. The Offense l is coming along very well. Coach Best have done an outstanding job with the OL that have filled in for injuries.
Our Defense will raise hell at NAU, they are hungry for another win. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

I have been noticing a Recruit TE at practices, #82 Jake Withell(sp), he really looks great in practice, he is from Oregon. I saw the OL player Derek Westin,from UW working yesterday, he is coming along very well.
#59 Jordan Ellisen From Tulitin Oregon,(sp) he too looks great. I saw all of the OL doing the rope course, all of them are very fast going through the squares, very argile on their feet.
Spoke to Renard Williams on Wednesday, told him he and his defense played their A---s off, he said "yes sir" we will come out ready for the NAU game, we are taking each game one at a time. FYI, Zach Johnson will not travel with the team to NAU, because of the prior Blood Clot. He will try to make it to one of the three areas that is televising the game. Kauf had the surgery on his hand on Monday.Got an email from Jase Butorac Dad yesterday, Jase OL #75, had his surgery on Thursday, he is doing great, and will be back on Saturday.
