Eastern Washington University head coach Beau Baldwin doesn’t hide the fact there is a revenge factor at play this week, but he’s simply calling it human nature.

Baldwin’s second-ranked Eagles take on fourth-ranked Sam Houston State, the same team that ended their season a year ago at Roos Field in the semifinals of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs. Kickoff Saturday (Sept. 28) at Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas, is 12:07 p.m. Pacific time in a game televised live on Comcast SportsNet Northwest.

The Eastern-Sam Houston State game is a rematch of last year’s 45-42 loss in the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs on Dec. 15, 2012, at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash. In that game, Eastern scored 42 second-half points to rally from a 35-0 deficit and nearly pull off the improbable comeback.

“There is a pride factor – no question,” said Baldwin. “There is a different feel to this game for us because of the tough loss we had to them in the semifinals. To Sam Houston State’s credit, they did a great job against us, they had a great team and they do again this year. We love getting another shot at them – it’s not a revenge factor but it is human nature for players to want to keep fighting back. And our players are no different.”

Drove past the field today and saw the team out practicing, and then noticed the scoreboard was on and read "Bearkats-45 Eagles-42." :thumb:

There is no way this team goes down to Huntsville not ready to go and out for some revenge! Love it!

That is NOT typical...that's a combination of 3 low-tier teams coming to Bowers & the Kats blowing them out by the 3rd qtr...plus the # our AD reports are always super low anyway. Stadium holds 13k but on a big game, we'll have people sitting on the grass too.

Don't get me wrong, we're not knocking any FCS doors down with attendance but it will be packed for this game Saturday. But even then, in true fashion, our AD will report 10,200 or something silly.

DVR and total black out all day Saturday . . .till late night ME TIME!
The wonders of having children.
Besides it worked for the OSU game.

Rjones61,
If I am not mistaking, Northern Quest, Swinging Doors on Francis, and PUB on 1st street in Cheney. I guess I will listen to it on the radio, ESPN 700 AM. I have DirecTV, it stated Comcast Sport Net will be showing the game, however when I checked there was another game that will be shown. Will check at 12 noon, to make sure. Direc TV 642 is the one I am talking about that was supposed to show the game, could be wrong.

Team was supposed to have Campus about 6am-0615 am left, for Airport, commercial, didn't know the Air Lines. Met DJ Martin RB and Keonte White DB on Tuesday, both are registered for classes, will be prop for a year. Go Eagles!!!!!Vic Wallace

I called the Northern Quest today, and they told me they would NOT be showing the Eastern game. Don't make the mistake of showing up there and being disappointed! I did call Swinging Doors as well, and they ARE showing the game. I couldn't get a hold of Eagles Pub in Cheney to find out if they were showing it, but Gatto's in Cheney said they haven't been able to secure a way to stream the game yet, they would keep trying. My guess is, it's a risk to count on anyone in Cheney since Comcast doesn't serve the Cheney area.

GO EAGLES!

If anybody's in the Spokane Valley, The Ref, on Sprague, will be showing the game on all its main TV's with sound. Even better, the EWU Cheerleaders will be there too. Should be a good time.

Anyone know of any streams of the game?

I found one for the OSU game but eventually ended up with a virus...would rather not repeat that? If i borrow a comcast account will that let me in for streaming or does that only work on ESPN games?

I'm sure First Row will carry it; they've carried all our other games this season. You'll have to deal with their pop-ups, but that's a small price. Some advice on working their site, NEVER click on their ads (including the ones saying you need to download a new video player, which you won't need to do to watch), always look for the real "X" to close down the pop-up (sometimes they have fake "X"s that just link to more ads), and maximize the screen at your first opportunity (which, for some reason, seems to make the pop-ups stop).

I watch a lot of international soccer on First Row and have become pretty adept in using their service.

Careful of the pop ups as mentioned

It's for sure on CSN (179 in Spokane). You might have to have the NFL Network package to get this. Comcast charges bars $60/month (2 years ago it was free with basic service)for this service which includess Root, so that might be why some are not carrying it.

The game is on in Seattle on Comcast Sports Network...YES!!!

Watching ESPN Game Day...once again, EWU gets no respect. Lee Corso is our only fan.
