Man, now that this is a regular occurence for us, let's not look star struck like 3 years ago. Regular Season means nothing, it's the Playoffs and the Big Dance that count.

Any predictions on what kind of crowds we'll get at the RG? There were about 4,000 at the MC in '05, right? Will the Glanville effect have any carryover? Will UM and MSU's inclusion boost attendance?

I think there was about 6k for the WSU PSU game that we lost. Man, I'm still pissed that we lost. :-(

Glanville effect? I don't know if he will increase the attendance or not, but it sure was nice to see his support for a few games already. I would think that the man in black will be at the rose garden to root for the Viks.

MSU is down with 6 to go in the 2nd half, so we're getting closer to hosting...

ISU held on, so it's either a WSU loss or a PSU win and the tourney is in the City of Roses.

Wow, 6-8 dollar service charge per ticket by the Rose Garden for tourney tickets. Makes Ticketmaster look gracious.

Sounds like the deal is still not finalized. :-S

As for the service charge, it is $6.75 per ticket, the lady on the phone said that PSU can't do anything about it, as the "Rose Garden" made this decision. Hope Paul Allen can make his house payment with the extra cash. Anyway, just ordered two tickets, go Viks!!!! We need our own new basketball arena!

PSU might make some funds off the tourney but not much. The NCAA, for whatever reason, imposes a fee on all conference tourney tickets, which is why as a student I had to pay $8 to attend the quarterfinal last year when student tickets are typically free. Add to that whatever the Big Sky charges and I bet the profit, if any, gets evenly distributed to conference members. Where PSU would make money is on merchandise and maybe on concessions (Although I have no idea how the Rose Garden figures that).

Any idea if they are going to sell single game tickets? I going both nights for sure! But, I guess I'm wondering if the tournament pass is the same price as buying tickets to both nights individually, or might it be cheaper to buy them seperately when the games get closer.

Buying two $40 passes through rosegarden.com costs $18.25 in fees (the per ticket fee + the $4.25 order fee).

Two things:

1. They almost certainly will sell single-session passes (since the semifinal night is a doubleheader of course) but probably not for a few days.
2. If you happen to be going to a Blazers game or other RG event before next weekend you can stop by the box office and buy a ticket there to duck most of the fees. I do that all the time for Beavers and Timbers games at PGE Park.

Wished I got your advice earlier Skywaker9, but no matter what, I pumped for the tourney, we need to win this. Go Viks!
