Vikings need to rethnk thier relationships!

I would like to see EWU and PSU play later in the season. From what I understand, PSU is down this year but has depth. EWU could get beat up this year by playing Texas Tech and Colorado and Montana in the first five weeks. PSU has had EWU's number early in the season the past few seasons, but. EWU allways comes on strong and PSU fades. It might be a good idea to play EWU in November. While EWU is ranked in the top ten, courting 2nd place in he BSC, PSU near the top and needing a big win, how perfect! PSU can beat EWU late in the late season then be a playoff team like EWU has been 4 out of the past five years.

EWU students love PSU here, they want to make them their main rival, but PSU keeps falling down in football...so

Football is the only game in the Big Sky. Portland may be better served by moving into the manpurse conferences more accustomed to the metrosexual. Champions in vollyball, ice skating and gymnastictics.
PSU has 25,000 students the BSC average is 12,890, yet we still lose? Call Sacramento State, make a manpurse league and we will survive!

My suggestions, PSU should move to the

You make it sound like PSU is dominated by EWU at football. Last time I checked it was even in all time Big Sky play at 6-6, and hasn't PSU won the last two years? It must be the all time series where EWU dominates PSU that you speak of. No, wait, that's led 17-12-1 by PSU....

So what's your point again?

Got that right, owned them up in Cheney and torched them the year prior to that.

I was watching highlights of the PSU game on montanagrizzlies.com and noticed that if PSU hadn't fumbled a punt return they could have won that game. I know that PSU is replacing a lot of people but by the time you play the Griz at home it should be a heck of a game. Besides EWU I think that the rest of the Big Sky is a crapshoot on where everybody is going to finish. There will be a lot of interesting matchups to see who comes out on top.

UM - strong passing game with a late season emphasis on the run. Their will be very inexperienced on defense early but fundamentally sound toward the end of the season.

PSU - will score in bunches but will the defense hold up. Can any teams slow them down?

EWU - Brings firepower on offense and defense. If they lose a conference game its because they didn't show up that day.

WSU - should be a tough team since they settled on a qb. They should be strong on both sides of the ball but can they match up with UM and EWU.

Sac State - Great defense but no offense has been seen lately.

Northern Arizona - They will run the ball a lot and their flex defense gives people the fits. They usually have a late season swoon and I don't know why.

Northern Colorado - I see them pulling off two conference win if their qb lives up to the hype and the other team takes a crap that day.

Montana State - Their defense will be very solid. Their offense will be very inconsistent from game to game. I expect to see a late season swoon due to injuries. If they ever establish a running game watch out.

Idaho State - with the number of transfers they brought in who knows what kind of team they have. They have a good coach so by the end of the season they may be tough.

2003 42-16 EWU win
2004 41-21 EWU win
2005 42-24 EWU win

you may have beat us last year, but you were still sitting home at the end of the season. by the way, home for me is also Portland.

Those games are now irrelevant, you happen to be missing the past 2 meetings, which we won both.

Maybe one of the forum moderators could un-sticky some of these older threads so the more current threads are at the top?

Fixed. Last thing we need is a daily reminder of our 2008 campaign on the football field. :-|
