Can't wait for the guys to strap on the helmets and pads and get after eachother! Should be an interesting fall camp. SD, maybe you could put together an pre-fall 2 deep for the board and we can see how close your guesses are?? I know that you've put together a few extensive posts and it would wake the board up with some debate points that's for certain!! Just a thought.

This can be done. I probably wouldn't post it until the week leading up to the season opener though. Someone with contacts (HHD) would be in the know about the actual 2 deep heading into the game. ;)

I don't think my contacts will be talking with me much until after the Stanford game. :) I'm sure a 2 deep will be released with the game notes the week of the game, but until then I think the staff is going to be pretty mumm about things. Especially right now when they want everyone competing hard for starting positions.

I will attend some practices at some point and perhaps I can give out some highlights if I see something interesting. I did hear that almost everyone including incoming freshmen were here for strength & conditioning all summer. I also heard our S&C coach kicked their asses and they loved it and they are in great condition going into the season. That is really good news.

Went to Friday afternoon practice and the guys were in better physical shape then in the past. I was watching the offense more so than the defense, especially the O line. Some changes are on the way up front with John Taylor moving to tackle with Doverspike, Harrel and Maumau at the gaurds and currently most of the snaps at center are from Matt Shinn. This being the first full pads practice, I'm sure things will change. The coaches seem to really like Devonte Martin, but he was hurt yesterday so I didn't get a look at him.
Curtis Shaw was also injured but they were working him on the sidelines.

MBT looked better than any qb I've seen in the BSC from last year. Accurate bullets is about the best way to describe it. Murdaca had a sore shoulder, but the other three qb's all looked good. It was a whole different ball game with Reed and Deadder back in after not playing in spring ball. Catching everything thrown their way. Norrise and Hendershott also looked good.

The younger Diniz will be nice to have for the next 4 years too. He seems to have a stronger leg for kick-offs than Chris, but Chris is still one of the best in the BSC for field goals.

Thanks ChiCity. I think the changes on the OL are a little surprising. I would have thought they would have put players in spots where they have the most comfort and have the most experience. I trust the coaches know what they are doing. The OL has three more weeks to get it together and adjust to the changes.

It's good to know the players are looking good in camp. :)
