2010 Schedule

Stanford as early as they are on the sched makes them ripe for the picking. They always have trouble vs. SJ, and we're better than SJ.

Other than that, the only "given" loss I see on the sched is Montana, and even THEY might be vulnerable this year. Just to be safe, though, I'm keeping the Griz an L in my prognostication.

We always play NAU tough "up there" for some reason. I see no reason for that to change.

I think 9-2 is CONSERVATIVE for this year.

It's mid-March and still no "official" announcement of the schedule. :?

It's not like they have a line waiting to buy season tickets. They could probably release the schedule in July or August and it will be fine.

Season tickets are going on sale April 1, so look for an official announcement any day.

Here is the official 2010 schedule announcement....finally...

I just realized the Homecoming game against UNC is a 2:05 pm start time. Is it always a day game? I would think a night game would be better suited for such an event. Any thoughts?

Just curious, how many would rather see Cal Poly play in Hornet Stadium next season over Western Oregon? Cal Poly would have gladly signed a home and home and traveled there in 2010. If the playoffs are the goal, no benefit playing a DII team.

Following an FBS game I am ok with the DII team scheduled. I'd prefer Humboldt State as the DII opponent but they must not have been available. (CP has them scheduled the week before ;) ) I would prefer a cupcake FCS team following the Stanford game but SUU and USD scheduled themselves that week which eliminated any "regional" cupcake FCS opponent. (And I don't think Sac State wanted to schedule St. Francis and take that option away from CP  ) The CP-Sac State scheduling issue has been discussed on here many times before so feel free to look it up. Of course this wouldn't be an issue if the CP admin had the balls to join the Big Sky... :geek:

Doink.
Guess Poly is thinking what we are thinking.

UCFE and EWU played the Wolves last year and had close encounters. DII after a FBS is fine, especially early in the season. Many adjustments.

Wonder how many travelin' Hornets will make the trip? Can we beat the 251,000 fans UCFE brought to the Farm in '86?

I wonder if our final schedule was delayed b/c of the new UFL team? They will be playing at Hornet stadium during the same slot as the Hornets. I guess having FieldTurf will raise the temps on the field and in the stands. Good call on early times when it will be hot. I guess the final game at davis could be considered a 'home' game. I'd love to kick em in the ass again in their 'new' place.

I am good with Humbolt State, they will give us more of a challenge than going on the road and playing Sac State. :)

Yeah sure, we wouldn't want CP to get worn down before mighty St. Francis rolls into SLO. ;)

I am good with St Francis, they count towards the 7 DI wins needed. The only reason Humbolt State made their way onto Cal Poly's 2010 schedule is Idaho State bought out of their game in SLO late to take a game with Georgia.

My point is Sac State only needs 3 OOC games and they scheduled a DII game when they had a in state FCS team willing to come to Hornet stadium. A team that Sac State has quite a history with. I would of thought most Sac State fans would rather play Cal Poly. I guess I was wrong.

I would rather have us play Cal Poly. Forget this playing down to D II. Bring on Cal Poly. Bring on rivalry. Bring on attendance.

I'd like to see poly each year. We traveled down last year. Nice place to visit, except for the stain fans.
