1:45pm to 4pm for the practice time. Should be a bit easier to get over for a practice or two as opposed to the early morning timeslot.

The spring prospectus is out.

Some interesting stuff inside. Hubel is out for the spring, McCaffrey is moving back to his high school position, and Howland is most likely getting his sixth year.

Yeah, I noticed that. I haven't the faintest idea if he played in high school. He certainly can jump and catch a ball, but for four years it's been a round one, not a pointed one. How many plays would he have to learn? Tight ends have to block at least as much as they catch. I'm dubious, but more power to him.

What kind of eligibility does he have for football?

This boards getting aweful "quiet"! Can we try to fire it up guys! Most of us who are interested can't attend spring ball, however we do care....the more info you serve up the more activity for this board. I want to see a busier board than any big sky school. Recruits look at boards as well, gives them a feel for what they might be getting themselves into if they decide to go here. If the prospect doesn't the parent does. I have a good feeling about this season I didn't have last year, yea this my first post, but I am going to try to make it the first of about a thousand this year! Let's have some fun and pump these guys up D

Anyone been to practices and able to update for those that cannot watch in person. Anything is appreciated. Thanks

I watch from my window all the time, but that doesn't mean I can really tell what is going on!!! :)

Nigel Burton has marshaled a competition: If the defense holds the offense, the offensive players have to run 200 meters. First down for the offense, and those on the defense have to run.
-Sounds like Jimmy from his Hurricane days.

Don Read and Mouse will be coaching at the spring game.

I need to get out to the next scrimmage on the 28th to see Thomas take some snaps at tight end.

It seems like it's a 'feel good' story having the guy who's been the heart of the basketball team for the past few years throw on the pads and give it a go on the gridiron, but the comments from Burton make it seem like making the squad is almost a given.

You're right, Marty, seems like a shoo in. He caught the pass thrown at him, anyway. Wonder how the other TEs did? And McCaffrey seems to have found his place. He carried what? 12 times? Averaged 4-5 yards a carry, not bad. And Carl Sommers sounds good on the defensive line - 5 tackles, 3 of them for losses and the other two sacks (they allowed sacks in scrimmage??). The Pistol sounds a lot easier/simpler than the previous Run and Shoot, and the team seems to thrive on it.
