2012-2013 Which Conference is better SKY or WAC

After this year, even with Fresno, Nevada, and Hawaii I think the Sky is better, which conference will be seen as being better?

but...

usu will be in the mountain west so that leaves:

1. San Jose
2. Idaho
3. Denver
4. San Antonio
5. Texas State

that isn't enough for football or basketball so we will have to wait to see who they pick up. with the above i would go with idaho to win the wac 2013 title.

so ill take big sky as the better conf regarding RPI and Sagarin to tell us which is better.

but if the WAC can get UM, MSU, PSU, CP then maybe its a toss up.

As of now Lunardi has NMSU as a 14 & Montana as a 15 in the NCAAs.

Big Sky top 3 WSU, EWU, Montana

WAC top 3 USU, Nevada, NMSU

I think the sky would handle all 3

agreed and didnt this used to be a discussion against the big west? what happened to that? the wac may have added denver, tx st n ut-sa but wsucatfan has a good point. first we need to avenge losing to the last place team in the wac from last yr.

I totally agree, but I also that this starts consistently happening in the next couple of years. That is IF there is a WAC.

I like hearing everyones opinions. Yeah CATCAT, you are right though, this discussion should be about the Big West too. The only reason why the Big West, yearly, is ranked higher than the Sky is because they don't usually play the top Sky schools. Big West teams mostly only play Sac State (we all know how good they are). Yes, I think last year the Big West deserved to be ranked higher, that Long Beach win over the Grizz to me was the deciding factor.

As for the WAC right now they are a better conference, but really the Sky isn't that far behind; especially once the WAC loses historically strong Nevada, Hawaii, Fresno State, and this year Boise State. Texas State, Denver, and Texas San-Antonio aren't exactly great programs. Yes, San-Antoinio played in the Dance this year, but they didn't win their conference they got lucky over the course of a weekend and got the autobid by being the Conference Tournament champs. To me, those schools are terrible substitutes. As for Football...Yeah, the Sky is better.
