I like how you think Wildcat, and immediately I'd be all for Stony Brook or Wagner, but remember we have to go to their place in the future, after they come to Weber, and that isn't a cheap trip. We need to play someone who is closer. Sam Houston would be a great game. They have a good team, are fairly close, and are in an area of the country closer to one of our recruiting bases (Oklahoma...still quite the drive though). If not Sam Houston, I wouldn't mind having McNeese visit Stewart again. Their last game in Ogden was one of the best games I saw while growing up. But we have to remember to keep things as inexpensive as possible. Going to the East Coast for a football game would be 100K+ for the program.
PSU and MSU would both be good additions. I'm afraid though, that MSU would want Weber to go to Bozeman next year, which would be fair, since they are playing here this year (Weber has played MSU and UM for 50 straight years, I don't want to see those rivalries end. I would be willing to have a four game schedule to keep MSU on the schedule next year; thats how much that rivalry means to me). PSU would make the most sense or UND. We play at UND in 2013 and at PSU this year (2011). Might be good for UND to visit Stewart next year. No matter, if it is UND, PSU, Stony Brook, or whomever...in the future Weber would have to travel to their place.
