Wow! Crushed them so bad the mercy rule went into effect:

The game was ended in the eighth inning with one out after the Hornets took a 10-run lead with a five runs. According to WAC rules, a game is ended if a team leads by 10 or more runs after the seventh inning. Sacramento State was down 3-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth but score once in that inning followed by one in the fifth, three in the sixth, three in the seventh and five in the eighth.

Hornets beat Fresno State 8-3!!!!!!

Hornets advance to the WAC Tournament Championship and are 1 win away from a berth in the NCAA Regional.

Hornets will play the winner of La Tech- Fresno State tomorrow at 7 pm. If the Hornets lose they will have another shot at it as its a double elimination tournament.
 
LA Tech is at the plate in top 4, 2 out. They led off with two singles, chasing FSU's starter. A ground out scored a run, and another moved a guy to third. LA Tech is up 3-1.
 
The top of the 4th ends with an innoucuous popup to second, but the damage is done. LA Tech is up 4-1 going into the Fresneck half of the 4th. I'll check in with it again a little later.
 
Fresneck is now firmly in control.

They loaded the bases on two straight singles followed by a bunt single. Then came a double which scored two, chasing the LA Tech pitcher.

Fresneck is now up 6-4 in the bottom of the 8th.
