Now that the schedule is out, anyone willing to count up wins and losses yet?
PDXMACMAN said:OK - Call me crazy, but i think that IF Nigel can solve the problem at cornerback, psu could run the table
this year. with the exception of Cal. Think about it, we were in all of the games except msu, right
up to the time that the other teams figured out that we had no defensive backs. our offensive numbers
were good and they should be better this year. The 19 or 20 freshman that played last season plus all of last
years red-shirted recruits will improve the team.
cal poly- lost their star running back
montana- has taken a step backwards and is suspect
e. wash.- will be tough- esp away but i think that their wr crew graduated
the remaining schedule is made up of teams psu should be able to beat
think i'm nuts?? oh well go big or go home!

I agree with PDX that our offense should be at least as good as last season. Our core receivers will be younger, but we were without Monahan for quite a few games last year, and frankly when he did come back he wasn't as much a threat as previous to his injuries. As some of you have eluded to, it's going to come down to defense. Our guys will need to make some stops. I am hopeful that the team chemistry is a little better this season, which can win a game or two you shouldn't. 7 wins, there I said it.
