Anyone that's been following the team care to take a shot at the current two-deep? Curious about injuries too if anyone's aware of them.

My guess ...
QB: Kieran, Collin
RB: Shaq, DJ
TE: Plinke, Thompson
WR: Tatum, Jones, Closs - Dean, Adams, Carter
OL: Smith, Edison, Gaulke, Keizur, Van Dyk

DE: Alexander, Long, Sulleyman, Boone
DT: Ka'ahanui, Lopez, Alexis, ??
LB: Shoemaker (out for gm 1), Lutali, Crowder - Brody Heim, Tobias, Rothstein
DE: Cummings, Sibley, Dunn, Fite
S: Faddis & Edgerson, Jackson & Santiago

P: Loomis
K: Alexander
KO: ??

Thanks for posting this, anything you'd change after seeing game 1? Also what happened to Julius Moore, wouldn't he have been a senior this year?

I am not sure who the number 2 is since they were alternating drives. My question is, why does Shaq start over DJ? It should be DJ all day, every day. He is by far our best running back. I must say I was impressed with Tago (and have been through all of fall camp). But, it doesn't make sense to me why we aren't red shirting him. I was shocked to see him out there.

Regardless of who gets the opening drive, DJ and Shaq will probably see equal, or close to equal, snaps this year. They both rushed for 107 against Eastern, but Shaq had those two balls put on the turf. Not sure if that will make a change in the weeks to come.

Nice to have both guys to go to.

I think DJ should start, but Shaq certainly gives us that two-back option set to go to. Fumbling never helps, obviously.

So I found out that the team posts a full depth chart in the PDF version of the weekly game notes on goviks.com. Lots of good info in there including who's started and played in each game. A couple of things I noticed is that Nall hasn't played yet so he's either injured or suspended, and Steven Long isn't on the running back depth chart at all so it looks like he's definitely taking a medical red shirt this year.

Nall could be redshirting too, since he didn't last year. I don't know if that's the case, just a possibility.
