Looks like WSU is in his mix. He says that he should be making a visit here. HE has drawn interest from some pretty good schools. On paper, he looks great!

Anyone have anymore info on him?

He's a big man with a big presence but he's not playing with a strong team. YouTube has a full game coverage of his Highlands Ranch Falcons getting beat down by the Denver East Angels 73-54 on 02/09/13. While the performance was below his averages, he still went 4/9 from the field, 1/1 3PFG, and 8 rebounds. His averages are 12.8 PPG, 1.3 APG, 10.5 RPG, .7 steals, and 3.2 blocks. Not too bad, but @bball_co claims that he's now getting looks from a Big 10, a Big East, and a Southern conference team. With the time he has left on the clock, we may be falling down the ladder on his preferences.

But I wouldn't say we're out of the running. If his head's not up his a**, he'll realize the awesome program in his own backyard, and tell Wyo. to send their offer to someone that can't do any better.

With recruits a lot of the time it comes down to who has been most loyal and has stuck with them the longest. Braxton is a great kid first and foremost and has a good understanding of where he will develop the most and who can help him improve his game. Weber really likes him because he can rebound and also, because he can extend the defense. For me, he is a lot of upside offensively and is an above average defender: 3.2 blocks per game.

Weber has a bunch of new guys on our lists. Braxton may not be our top Big, but it is a great sign that he is coming for a visit. It depends on when he comes. Weber might sign two bigs this fall if we can get them.

Braxton would look great in Wildcat purple.

Braxton was reportedly very impressive in Indy last weekend, and is now on the radar of both Northwestern and Marquette, who will be scouting him in Las Vegas.

Thanks, Bengal;

That just gives us a little validation, that we are going after the right kind of kid. I think that we have been talking to this kid for at least a year, maybe a little longer. I've seen these kind of things go the other way, as well. A kid can be on everyone's radar for a while and then suddenly drop like a rock. When that happens, it usually indicates that they have not progressed like everyone though they would. This whole process is not an exact science. The years of progress after high school is also, somewhat, non predictable. Year over progress is the only tool coaches may have to gauge how a player will do in the future. That is why other personality traits are vetted so tightly. :thumb:

Weber is extremely lucky to have Braxton coming to Ogden!! I'm pretty excited to see him play here at Weber State. When does the signing period start? Isn't it Wednesday?
