• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

2025 Spring Ball

The Spring Game will be here before we know it, and with the excitement back around Hornet Football right now, I am interested to see how long the wave can ride until the Fall season starts. Can we get a significant turn out for the Spring Game (2000 - 4000 fans)?? Some of you that are local maybe have attended a few in recent years. Is there already that many attending? Are we way off? I don’t believe in my playing years (2012-2014) we were anywhere even 1000.

When I was a player there was a chance for fan engagement with players after the game but no other real attraction for being there? Has the administration considered bringing a couple of the food trucks? I think it also could be good rather than only even sending invites to top recruits to attend, which is what we did in the past, but also invite entire local high school teams to attend. Do we get any involvement from those that pay for premium season tickets or our main donors? How can we get the student body to be interested in a Spring Game at Sac State?

Coach Marion and his staff seem to be fully on board trying to build hype and excitement around the program. If we are hoping to get ready for the next step of FBS something like the Spring Game can be a unique recruiting tool/weekend each season to set ourselves apart from the rest and show our level of excitement and commitment around Hornet football. And also build more of the community engagement amongst young fans and families that we need to fill the stadium come Fall.

If I was local I’d certainly be attending this year, there will be a lot of meshing needing to be done in a short amount of practice time with all the new faces brought in but the physical stature of the team already feels different and I would be excited to see how we look coming out of the locker rooms.
