Sorry to see North Dakota dropping baseball and men's golf. And read all the issues with Chicago State. Very .
sad,
Sac State has not dropped a sport in probably 30 years. We used to have wrestling, swimming and diving,
women's field hockey and even fencing. Those sports did not make the transition to Div I. Believe we have far and away the most athletic teams compared to our Big Sky affiliates. We have all the Big Sky Sports (not all BSC schools do ) and have men's soccer and sand volleyball in the Big West, gymnastics in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, women's crew in the American Athletic Conference, and baseball in the Western Athletic Conference. Kudos for Sac State for doing what it takes to have a great athletic program in the Big Sky and then some with many other conference affiliations.
That does matter and Sac State has been successful.
And congrats to our Hornet baseball team for winning at the University of Nevada yesterday 7-2. Nice to beat Reno in any and all sports as a long time rival that goes back 7 decades in competing against the Hornets in all sports in many conferences and divisions since 1947.
