2016 Recruiting who will the Hornets target

Wesley Preece TE Rocklin
Chase Hatada DT Rocklin
Montel Aaron QB Antelope
Jaelin Lewis OL Antelope

They have posted they have offers from Sac State

Chase Hatada has BCS offers now so he is highly unlikely.
Wesley Preece is possible and I hear there is genuine interest.
With 5 QB's on the roster now, I doubt that another will be recruited next year unless one or more is cut or really special.
Jaelin Lewis; there is always room for a big good lineman.

Quincy Jountti RB from Liberty High School in Bakersfield has committed to Sac State. He had almost 1600 yards in rushing and 21 touchdowns. It looks like he is a good overall running back. His brother plays at Northern Arizona.

Word is Hornets will not sign a lot of players this year, what we need to keep in mind are the players that grey shirted for the Hornets and will be here in January.
Caelan Barnes - Antelope DB
Wyatt Hjelm -Oakdale DL
Isaiah Cappocia WR from down in San Diego
James McBride Sutter OL
Ernie Timoteo Kennedy RB
Tyrell Edington DL School in Bakersfield
Brandon Ferrel McClymonds DB

So you can look at it and say we have 7 players already signed for this class
Plus the few players we have committed
Sean Hamilton from McNair in Stockton
Nick Brand OL from Del Campo
Quincy Jountti from Liberty Bakersfield

With a young team that the Hornets had do not expect a big class
Will probably get a couple more WR's, OL, TE and the Specialist, maybe a LB. do not see any DB's to be signed

Or put another way:

We are not signing any guys because they saw what happened this season and want no part of next year. After talking with the HC they were convinced that WSU was right when they fired him. One year down and 2 to go on the extension.

Or it is the way it is Hornet Hope. If people give up in year 2 no school would be successful. Let's remember the players Weber is playing with currently are Sears Recruits

Even if the 2015 campaign wasn’t as embarrassing as it was, a small recruit class this time around would still be likely. 18 seniors graduated and as OH said (and what I recall Sears stating at last years signing party), a handful of the last years class are hold overs for this class (gray shirt) and last years class had 34 recruits. There are some glaring holes heading into next season so I’m curious if any immediate help (JC/FBS transfers) will be targeted/signed in this class. However it shakes out, here are the key dates to know:

Final JC signing date (mid year transfer): Jan 15th
Initial signing date: Feb 3rd
Final signing date: April 1st

Well playing so many young players last season you hope they had gained the experience to be better next season. I bet you do not see many JC or FBS transfers, not like any of the FBS transfers have really worked out, I know you can say Bethel-Thompson but he was hurt all Sr year and was behind Smith most the time and Fleming got hurt his senior year as well, the DL from UCLA was a flop Coulter the WR from UNR was a flop, so hope we do not waist our time

There were some FBS guys that did just fine here. Fleming got us our first Pac12 win so I wouldn't knock him too much, TJ Knowles (haven’t had an impact TE since he and Hikutini the following year), Nielsen did a solid job at G, McMahon at SS, there are probably a few others. Ezekiel Graham was a JC guy and he was a game changer when healthy. It’s been hit or miss…kinda like taking in a HS recruit can be hit or miss.

How many games did BT actually start? Also Fleming was good his jr. Year and then got hurt his senior year in a non football activity. McMahan was solid, Nielson was solid, Knowles was ok. Graham was good when healthy which was not often

Sorry OH, I do not agree. Using that logic, Harbaugh and Urban Meyer should have gone way backwards in year1.

Well that is your opinion, but that is problem with everyone in our society, everyone wants now now now. Those two coaches make 5 million a year and asst. make 500,000 or more. That is probably not even as much as our total salary pool. I am just saying wait one more year before we rush to judgement

Did you just seriously try and make a comparison of Sac State football to Michigan and Ohio State?
