2016 Schedule

The BSC schedule is set through the 2019 season but I couldn’t find it online. I was able to piece together the 2016 schedule based on other program releases.

Probably a D2/NAIA program to open the season. The Weber game is non-conference. I couldn’t find the last BSC opponent which will be on the road (at UNC?), and I guessed on the CP and Causeway dates. Brutal schedule, 3 of the first 4 on the road.

Me too, but when I checked their website they have us listed for 2017.

Call me myopic, but I'll believe that when I see it. I'm thinking we just experienced a "hiccup" this season. Naturally, I don't have anything to base that on other than a hunch.

It's probably not the time to start freaking out, as Sears essentially just got here, and he has been working with what Sperbeck had left in the cupboard. Let's wait until he's been here about five years or so before we start freaking out.

That said, and this will likely lose whatever support I had after what I said above (lol), the next choice should probably come from among: the Offensive Coordinator at Mid-America Nazarene, the DL coach at UCLA, the acting HC at North Texas, and the HC at American River College. No, I have no idea if ANY of them are interested....

After a 7-5 season 2-9 was certainly a disappointment. I don't think it necessarily indicates that Coach Sears is another Moosh. Moosh was second only to Glenn Brady as the worst HC in Hornet Football history. To be fair we lost a lot of talent and experience from 2014, we were forced to rely on a lot of talented but inconsistent freshman and sophomores not to mention forced by injuries to go four deep on the QB chart. I'm not sure Coach Sears can be held totally responsible for the situation this year. However if we start seeing more 2-9 or 3-8 seasons it's time for a change. I feel that with our resources' and talent base a "bad season" should be something like 6-5 or 5-6 not 2-9.

Edited up top to show the finalized schedule per the Hornetsports release. I agree with K, I don’t see many wins on this schedule. Brutal start as well with 3 straight road games.

I know we base a lot of these on last years results but we need to remember the 28 freshman and sophomores in 2 deep are a year older. Including the true freshman QB. Will be interesting to see them develop.
