2016 Schedule

There is a demand for tickets, especially if those new seats are decent to sit in. People buy those horrible visitor side seats in spite of the fact that that suck. There is immediate demand for 12,000 for average games and 15,000+ for high demand games right now.

Even for students, if you are going to have to sit on the hill or stand a lot of those kids are going to decide to stay home. For 5-10 million we could have a very functional and comfortable visitor side that meets current needs and is expandable for the future.

I've been reading for years on this forum all of the complaints about the stadium and we have seen some moderate improvement but nothing close to what needs to be done. money talks. The below email is public record and can easily be found using a google search. I plan on writing the president to express how dissatisfied i am with progress on the stadium renovations and I encourage everyone to do the same. Enough is enough, it's time something happened.

eaglesfootball,
I agree with all your sentiments, I have given up. Should something happen, I will be happy. This started years ago, and I taught something would have happen by now. Good Luck writing the President, she might send you to the AD. Happy New Year. Vic Wallace

I think the response will be...we need more donors. Unfortunately Eastern does not have a large abundance of boosters that donate money to the program or to athletics and that is the biggest issue.

To all,
Cooper Kupp was awarded the FCS Wide Receiver of the Year on todays date. He will be in Texas for the Awards Presentation this weekend. "CONGRATULATIONS COOPER KUPP" very well Deserving. Vic Wallace

Hi Vic;
To be clear, he was chosen as wide receiver of the year by the FCS athletic directors association.
Now that same organization has chosen him as Player of the Year is all of FCS.
Kupp has previously been honored as a first team selection on All-America teams announced by the American Football Coaches Association, STATS, Associated Press, the FCS Athletic Director’s Association, Walter Camp Football Foundation and College Sports Madness. The FCS ADA selected him as its recipient of FCS Wide Receiver of the Year and he was also a first team Academic All-American in 2015.
If Cooper receives the STATS player of the year it will be a clean sweep. I wonder if or when that has happened?

clawman,
Thanks for clearing this up for me. After this was written, I noticed there was two other Players are in the running. This is supposed to be on ESPN2 Saturday, at the game between NDSU/Jacksonville State, game is supposed to come on at 9 a.m. Saturday or around 7:30p.m. Saturday Night. Visited Campus today saw some of our Senior Players. Cassidy Curtis will attempt PRO Day. Todd Raynes, I asked him if he was having any problems with his bicep, he stated no. Asked him if this was going to interfere with his GOAL, becoming a "SEAL", he said he didn't think so, and he had an appointment with them. Good Luck Todd, best of LUCK. Vic Wallace

To All,
Got some information today, the above former Players will be in town. Heard they will be at Northern Quest Hotel for Lunch, and are having something after the lunch. I have other plans, so I will not be attending. Surely will be nice to see our former Players. Vic Wallace

Doors open at 1100am, program begins at Noon. Larry Weir will introduce JC, our Grey Cup Champion. Last year's Grey Cup Champ can't attend, Bo Levi is on his honeymoon. Congratulations to Bo and his new bride and congratulations to all Eagle football coaches/players past and present on the 5th anniversary of our title. We've hosted 11 playoff games in Cheney on the Red since 2010, here's to hosting again in 2016.

Still seats available but will probably sell out. It is $25 at the door, should be a fun reunion.

Go Eagles!

To All,
Tried my best to locate Cooper Kupp Speech, and the announcement of the committee. Anyone has the area where I locate it? I saw a bunch of pictures etc, but unable to find anything. I am not into Face Book, Twitter, or any of those areas. If I must check those areas, I am w/o the speech. Vic Wallace

Obzerver,
After reading your area where Steve Harvey was apologizing for his "SCREW UP", I saw Eddy Murphy doing the same thing at the awards this weekend, I had to     . Maybe things will get better for Steve Harvey, heard he just signed a lucrative Deal with someone/Company. Vic Wallace

Craig Haley is saying that our game against NDSU is the most intriguing match up for the FCS Kickoff this upcoming season. It'll have to move up to August 27th from the September 10th date.

I would love to see this happen...

There are certainly a bunch of story lines for that match up. Hope it happens.

after watching NDSU dominate the past 5 seasons, and watching our nightmare of a season this year, I am not so sure this is a game we want nationally televised.

After the bball game last week I was talking with one of the coaches and I said, who is going to beat North Dakota? He stopped and looked at me, "we will".

Gives coaches a chance for surprises that the Bison won't have had the chance to see on film.

Also, what we saw last year, best time to get NDSU is early in the season.

Being 100% healthy going into the NDSU is better option than limping into that game after WSU.

We've all seen that it takes a couple weeks to recover after playing a Pac-12 school.

Like EWUs chances next year. Another year of experience on front 7 and a full season w/ Hennessey at QB. Love Jordan West but it became apparent he struggled in reading coverages plus Hennessey has more athleticism.

sammamisheag,
I taught NDSU was coming to play us here in September. I noticed the schedule in the program at the Football Banquet last Saturday have us going to Fargo, ND on Sept 10. They are waiting for us, we knocked them out of the Playoff in 2009, in overtime. That game it had snowed, rain and snow. That is the 1st game I walked out on our team, with time running out, our QB made the wrong play, I taught we had lost the game. While scraping my windshield, and listening to the game, we got the ball back with 2:29 we were approximately 90 yard for a TD. I couldn't run because all the ice on the ground. Got in the area to see our QB hitting our WR Tyler Hart in the end zone, tying the game. We won in overtime. We scored, and we held NDSU to 4 and out. "Hell of a game, that is when I made a statement, " I will never walk out on the Eagles Football Team. In the Championship Game at Frisco, when we fell down 19-0 against Delaware at the half, honestly, I wasn't worried, because I knew what type of a team we had. The best part of this game, was watching VP Biden with the different facial expressions when     :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:    we started scoring. So much for my book. Vic Wallace

To All,
We will have Northern Iowa here this year, we lost to the last year very close score. Can't wait to get them
on the Inferno. Vic Wallace
