I think we will drop our first two games but probably go 8-1 down the stretch.

I was thinking something along the lines of what you and KJeagle are seeing.

We need to go 2-2 at the start and will probably then finish with one more loss. If we start 3-1 like this year, then I like our chances of getting another top 4 seed.

Another year, another brutal schedule. I see it like you do, a 2-2 start is required. And 2-2 among that first four games -- three coming on the road-- is no gimme.

Other than TTU and NDSU, what are you seeing on this schedule that makes it brutal?

The first four games are rough. Texas Tech is a BCS school, and then we play three FCS teams who might be ranked (def Montana and Bison ranked, probably 50/50 or better that Fordham will be ranked). Three of those four games on the road.

Here's the way it breaks down, those we need to get a split in the first two. If we lose both, we're going to New York with our season on the line. I hate how front loaded our schedule is as it absolutely requires immediate results. If you struggle to find yourself early, there is a chance your season is over by October (obviously, that's a worst case scenario, but it happened in 2011).

Looks like 11-0 to me. Again.

Maybe you all will take me seriously this time. :ugeek:

Me thinks you maybe right. I think that Montana will still have coaching problems. NDSU will be tough but they have never won at the Inferno  Plus, I think the NDSU game day may change to first game of season which give us a bye week. :thumb: Next year week will have a running game with these more experienced lineman so we will be able to use time and hold a lead.

Unless ESPN adds a game for TV in the pseudo-first week, I don't think the Bison game will change dates. They already have an FCS kickoff game scheduled.

Fordham will be a real tough game on the road. This season FU was undefeated at home and went 8-3(they lost to Navy, Monmouth in ot and Lehigh). This long road trip is after NDSU while the week before Fordham plays Central Connecticut State (2-9 this season). A game we can win and hopefully go to N.Y. injury free.
