Five major football conference commissioners have asked the NCAA to relax some requirements to compete in Division I for four years, including the minimum number of sports a school must sponsor: https://apnews.com/da932203df021e2b4630a2dc2b211ed1

"Last week, he had to decide whether to reapply for partial season tickets for next season. The epidemiologist in Perrotta knows it is unlikely he will be back watching the Spurs in a few months, unless a vaccine or herd immunity is developed.

But the sports fan won out. He renewed his season tickets."

Just to be technically silly, my daughter said yesterday that Portland State has officially extended their safety measures through the end of this term. No graduation ceremony, of course.

She’s been provisionally accepted to grad school at Wisconsin, and still awaits word from another school... and unless things change significantly, she figures she’ll at least take a gap semester or term. Summer (her chance to make more $$) will be beyond interesting if things don’t change.

The articles I saw a couple weeks ago were fairly clear on the matter... no sports unless schools open. Without states being able to make an investment in testing (and people to administer tests) and without the federal government WILLING to make that investment, I can guess that Fall ain’t happening.
