It was deja vu all over again at that point, and our play was aligning with our reputation as playoff “frauds” on the national stage. Luckily, things turned around and the guys never gave up. I lost my voice, scared the dog, wife and kids for the whole game, then celebrated with a cigar.

We needed to get that 2nd Round win so badly. Anything else past the quarterfinals at this point is gravy in my opinion.

This game will be a shootout. If we can get pressure on UIW QB often and we can pound the rock too! Then we should be in good shape. First time in history I believe that our team was still playing football in DECEMBER! Merry Christmas to all Hornet Fans.

Other than that, the reveal of Devin Gandy is complete as he’s on the two deep now. Love to see him back healthy for four games in 2022! And he keeps his eligibility…. Then little bro joins next season.

Forgot to touch on Gandy in the Richmond thread but yeah that is a nice weapon to add this time of year.

Looks like the rain may hold off until Saturday. The unpredictability of a wet ball always seems to level the playing field. In a game where I thing we’re the better team, I’d like to see us have a real chance and having the full Taylor playbook open.

It's going to be raining all weekend and with wind. Should be absolutely miserable conditions for this game.

Yeah, after inquiring about him all season long it was a super nice surprise to see him on the field last Saturday. The 1st time he touched the ball it was a really big play.

The Hornets have a plethora of good receivers, but having Gandy out there with Pierre Williams, Jared Gipson and Marshel Martin can really put the defense in a bind.

Was there ever any official word on what kept him out all season? One big difference between following an FCS program versus a P5 is the communication of key injuries/absences.

Not official, but I believe there was an ACL tear sometime in January.
