2022 Playoffs - Quarterfinals: #2 Sac State vs #7 Incarnate Word

Wild game. Neither defense could make a stop. Taylor should have used a timeout. Great season. Hope we don’t lose some transfers and recruits if Taylor leaves for Stanford.
 
The greatest season in Sac State football history just came to a climactic end. It was a wild, crazy, thrilling, fun-filled ride.

There’s far too much to unpack and discuss about this epic game. And we’ll have a long offseason to do just that, along with the coaching changes, recruiting, and future of this program.

So for now all I’m gonna say is congratulations to the all the players and coaches for an awesome and historic season. Special shout out to all of the seniors and underclassmen that may not be back with the team next season for whatever reasons.

Wish tonight’s outcome could have been different and they’d all have at least one more game to play. Such is life.

Heartbreaking game, no doubt. However with the exception of the eventual National Champion every team has to experience it at some point.

Spot on. Greatest season ever without a doubt. What a ride, very enjoyable for all but the last bit at the end.

63-66 Hornet loss to UIW. What a wild game. Came down to who made the last play, unfortunately we came up short. Hell of a season. More thoughts later, lot's of "what if's" with this one. No doubt Sentkowski makes that kick if he gets the chance.
 
Truly in awe of what this program and team has accomplished. They left it all out on the field last night. I was watching the game with friends unfamiliar with the program and they were enthralled. At the end when we thought Williams made that grab, and we’d have a 55 yarder or so to tie they asked me, “how good is your kicker?”’ I said, “Damn good.” Would’ve loved to see a kick to tie with a slight breeze at Sentkowski’s back to force OT.

I believe he'd have made it (and set the school FG distance record in the process). He'd been hitting from there in practice this week, and not from the kicking sticks but with a snap and hold.

It's been a fantastic season and while I hate to see it end, I'm so proud of ALL the players for all they've accomplished this year. 👏
