SH, if this comes true, you and I are going to Reno.

To watch the Wolf Pack? Why? We are better than they are by a long shot!

My biggest reason for going to Reno is the National Pole Vault Summit in January, but I can't afford to go right now. Too far from Twentynine Palms....

Just put SH down as 11-0....

If your wild prediction finally comes true this season…. Wow…

I supported SH’s optimism back when he made that prediction, but I certainly wasn’t going to predict the same.

If I had made a prediction I probably would guessed somewhere around 9-2. Maybe even 8-3.

Ok I think this is way premature and if any injuries happen during fall camp this could change!

W vs. Utah Tech
W @ UNI
L @ Colorado State
W @ Cal Poly
W vs. N. Colorado
W @ EWU
W vs. Montana
W vs. Idaho
W@ Weber St
W @ Portland State
W vs. UC Davis

Colorado state is. 50-50 pick. Norvell is in his 2nd year and the most experienced QB on the roster is an RFR. They play Michigan, Middle Tenn and Washington State before us. Best case they are 1-2 coming into the game and are really beat up from these physical teams. Norvell has to win so if we are close they will start pressing. Young QB’s after 3 big games, and if we are getting at all to the QB, could spell upset.

Weber State I picked as a win also, but is closer to 50-50. They have a new OC, comes from D2 program, liked to run the ball a lot there too, so by the time we see them they will have a good sense of their offense. Again, young QB’s and their QB’s are heavy run oriented. If we can figure out how to shut their run game down, this should be a W. Their D is still stout, arguably best in conference, but our style and all of the weapons could neutralize this stingy D.

10-1 is my call, but could also see 11-0 or 9-2.

Stingers Up!

Just a reminder I posted this back at the beginning!

You sir, are a genius! I bow down to your superior prognostication skills.

My heart would have thought it possible, but I surely wouldn’t have predicted it. Not with the usual FBS game on the schedule. I wouldn’t have thought CSU to be as beatable as they were.

Now it's not the Griz fans whining, it's the Kitty fans. I posted the Top Ten Massey Ratings along with the Massey Strength of Schedule and the FBS results, and the Kitties think it's a joke that they're behind Sac and Weber. They think they run right over both of us. Heck, we are #1 in the Massey Ratings with a Massey SOS rating of 8 and a FBS win (CO State by 31). Weber is Massey #3 with a Massey SOS rating of 10 and a FBS win (UT State by 28). MT State is Massey #5 with a Massey SOS rating of 17 and a FBS loss (OR State by 50). OR State isn't generally considered higher than half-way in the Pac-12. I don't see where the Kitties' angst is coming. Assuming our heads are where they're supposed to be this time around, there's a good chance that we'll see them in the quarterfinals, if they don't get thrown on Selection Sunday by their relatively low SOS and the size of their FBS loss.

Long odds on that one for sure. Nice pick SH. :-)

Thank you, guys! 11-0 sure feels good, doesn't it? Particularly since we capped it off with a win over the Manure Pile.

I never thought in my wildest dreams that SH would get an 11-0 prediction correct...yet here we are.
