Senior cornerback Anthony Adams and senior defensive end VJ Malo have each been named to the Bluebloods Preseason FCS All-American team. Adams, who is a two-time All-American, was named to the first team, while Malo, an All-Big Sky Conference choice in 2021, was selected to the second team.
This is the second preseason All-America selection for Adams who was also named to the Athlon All-American team. He was named an All-American by various media outlets following the 2019 and 2021 seasons.
Malo, a 6-1, 270-pounder from West Seattle, WA, comes off a big 2021 campaign. He had 45 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and forced three fumbles. His 20 TFLs were second-most for a season in school history and most-ever at the Division I level. The 10.5 sacks are also the most by a Viking at the Division I level.
