Lots of things are bigger than football, and given all the Twitter files being dropped confirming that our government has been working with SM companies to suppress ideas/narratives that run contrary to those issued by the regime, it's certainly worth mentioning here on our lowly little forum. I have no problem with anyone calling out the wokenistas on their continued push/implementation of Marxism regardless of the forum.
I have to disagree. Feel however you want and post whatever you want but create a separate thread. Why put non football opinions in a thread about recruiting. Whether they agree or disagree not everyone wants to read about others personal beliefs. I get enough of that in the everyday world. I don't need it when trying to see the latest regarding incoming players.

Fair point. In that case, let's stop caring and talking about what Taylor does at Stanford as that is what brought on this tangent in the first place.

Seriously... can this person no longer be a moderator - not the first post like this - won't be the last

Seriously, you pencil dick, you were going to post your last a few weeks ago? :liar:
We weren't going to hear from you ever again? Hypocritical POS. Glad I triggered your communist, pride waving ass.
You don't like authority? How does me being a moderator for over a decade effect your miniscule, useless life in any way?

Your d@mn right, look at my avatar, cupcake. If you dont like being an American on the Stanturd campus, which is located in America, then get the fock out of my country. I dont give a royal rip about what that indoctrination center is doing in football or the people who associate with it.

I get that you are a moderator and can post whatever you like but why put a non football rant about Stanford and what they allow on a thread regarding football recruiting? I can't believe I am the only one who comes to the board for Sac State sports.

Fair enough, I apologize for a tangent outside of recruits. Lets eliminate the Stanturd talk, I could care less about that campus and its employees.

Let’s make a batshit crazy statement and then tell people to stop caring and move on. The fact that you are allowed to moderate this board shows that we have the worst fan base in the Big Sky

Peace out everyone. Go fuck yourself!

Taylor is gone, it's time to move on. The only people still struggling with this are those that bought into all the "I want to be here forever" hometown hero coachspeak. I'm grateful that he came here and dominated the BSC for 3 seasons and proved to everyone, especially us Hornet fans, that we don't have to accept less from this program and all the excuses for lack of success over the years were all nonsense. I'm very optimistic that this program will continue to dominate the BSC and this recent class that Thompson and this coaching staff brought in solidified my optimism.

I don't remember Troy ever saying he was going to be here forever. Actually, many people thought/assumed it was a given that he would take the Cal job if it was ever offered so I don't know why anyone would be surprised that he would accept a once in a lifetime opportunity to take the Stanford job. I don't think he was trying to get anyone to buy into anything other than he wanted a chance to elevate the Sac State football program to a place it had never been...and he delivered. Not hometown hero coachspeak.

“I have no intention of leaving here,” Taylor told The Sacramento Bee. “I’m having a great time. I love where we live. I love our football program, love our players, our coaches. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know I’m really happy here. I love this university and the city of Sacramento.” - Troy Taylor, a few weeks before taking the Stanford job.

And don't get it twisted, I have no problem with him taking a gig that will gross him and his family some where in the mid-$20M (+ incentives and perks) over the course of his first contract. This is the business of collegiate athletics and everyone has a price.

Oh thats rich, the worst poster, on the worst fan forum, that really elevates you.

I know SD doesn’t believe in moderating due to being pro-free speech, but if the resident trolls here are allowed to continue doing what they do this community will continue to find it tough building up a member base.

Many are gonna be driven off by it. I’ve been frequenting this site for years now and nowadays I’ve got to scroll past far too many posts once I spot the username. And I’ve seen a few newer, less frequent members comment on it as well.

Status quo is cool, if this site isn’t interested in possibly building up this community by taking advantage of the increased interest in the program that has occurred this past season.

Seems silly to me to allow a couple rotten apples to spoil the bunch based upon the premise that they have a right to say anything they want. In theory that sounds great. But is only true when it comes to government intervention.

This is a private forum dedicated to a specific topic. If people can’t be bothered to stay on topic or are incapable of avoiding personally attacking others — what’s the benefit of having them as members, especially at the expense of others? There’s no justification for it.

I clearly don’t have a say re: what goes on here. But I can offer my .02 cents, as I would like to see this forum prosper and grow. I don’t see that happening as things currently operate.

Perhaps someday though.

It will be interesting to see what Onterrio Smith Jr. decides…. Plenty of P-12 PWO opportunities, Sac State offer still on the table…

Snarky political and social commentary by moderators and long time established members has a bigger impact than a few trolls. Particularly harmful when the commentary is contrary to views of the typical college student and alumni.

For the forum to grow the way it should, that's got to stop. Seeing as the past few years is when the growth should have happened, maybe that opportunity has passed the forum by. The people running this need to take a look in the mirror.

Well said. The funny thing to me is that if we all met for a tailgate we would probably have a blast together. But on this board it sounds like fellow fans want to kill each other.

Something brewing…? Hornet coaches have started following Ifanse on Twitter.

There's a couple guys I'd love to see at a tailgate party where they couldn't hide behind their keyboards when they say stupid $#it.

Funny that you say that considering I invited you to my tailgate for the last game and you didn't show, that coming after you said you were flying into town for the game. I've got receipts for anyone interested in seeing them.

Regarding growth of this board, I have no financial stake in this site as I don't own it, and post/moderate here as I'm a alum/fan and it's a fun hobby to partake in. It makes no difference to me if there are a 1000 poster or our usual 10. I'd agree the political/social issues shouldn't make their way on the sport-centric forums, unfortunately that just not the world we live in considering all the political messages/narratives pushed by various athletes/league commissioners and various leagues putting their political/social messaging on jersey's, fields, commercials during games, announcements at games, etc. If a rare politically/socially charged comment that makes its way onto a thread bothers you, do you also turn off the TV or leave an event when a political/social message is made in real time? Didn't think so.
