Both the Carsons loved Bobby as their QB Coach. Regardless of your feelings for BF as an OC, his QB rooms have always been top notch. Thomson, Dunniway, O'Hara, Conklin/Camp. If Jamar Malone is on-board for this move and ready to see the field in a dual threat time share, I could totally see shades of 2022 with this offense, especially with Jamar Curtis and a healthy Curron Borders in the backfield.

I just went and took a look at Jaylen Patterson’s high school film. His legs definitely work. And looks like a pretty strong (physical) runner, he appears to have a nice blend of size and athleticism. The QB room got very competitive thankfully.

I’d like to Set the record straight.
Personally. I think Bobby F is a great Hornets. As a player, recruiter and as a QB Coach.

I’ve never had a complaint about Bobby F. Other than I was disappointed that when he was our OC that he didn’t learn or adopt enough under the leadership of Troy Taylor’s success to continue his style of successful offensive play calling.

He in my opinion wasn’t consistent enough to lead a premier FCS or FBS offense as it’s OC. At lower levels I’m sure he’d do fine.

He had a few quality plays he designed that I was impressed with, his performance with Andy Thompsons OC wasn’t enough and I’m sure 85% of fans would agree with me.

My opinion is purely based upon results. I have zero issues with him in a personal way. I’m sure he’ll do a great job in the right role. He is a good QB coach and I’ve never said that he wasn’t a good QB Coach.

I wanted to clear the air on that topic with my Hornet football faithful fans.
