2025-26 Roster and Coaches Updates

Whether the basketball and football experiments reach rarified air and then implode or are a trainwreck from the start, there has got to be a 30 for 30 show regardless.

If we paid $200k for the kid with 9 felonies who averaged five points per game in 18 games last year, someone is taking us to the cleaners. The Aggies paid $75k for their first team all conference guard last season.

He currently has zero felonies according to the ESPN article. Being charged with a felony and actually being convicted/pleading to a felony is not the same thing. I'd suggest he read up on CA gun laws though, it's not hard to "be a felon" as a gun owner in this state.

How does 5 points in 14 minutes per game stack up against recent Hornet rosters?

Williams transferred out of UCF to play under the tutelage of Bibby and Shaq at a basketball program adding big names. The freshman guard averaged 5.1 points in 14 minutes per game over 18 games for the Knights last season. Williams left Memphis for UCF following an April 2023 arrest in which he faced nine felonies and a lengthy prison sentence after he was charged for allegedly firing a gun at a car full of people who had arrived at his home. The charges were reduced, and he pleaded guilty in November 2023 to a single felony count of making criminal threats with provisions that would allow him to avoid jail time.

He was sentenced to a year of summary probation in August and his felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, clearing the way for him to make his collegiate debut with the Knights last season.

Based on the IG pictures, these recruits came through to the Nest and had a whole official or unofficial visit and nobody knew.

Such a big difference in styles between Bibby and Marion. Bibby being the introvert and borderline shy, it makes sense to me now why he brought in guys he knew and was comfortable with to be on his staff. Opposed to Marion who wants big names and a spotlight on him and his staff at all times.

Shaq is a important piece to bridge that gap for Bibby and put the basketball program in the headlines.

I was nervous about the basketball program at first, but now I'll sit back and wait for Bibby to do thing in his under the radar way.

Owning a firearm responsibly and firing pellmell into a vehicle loaded with people are two different scenario’s. Article and spotlight demonstrates immaturity and low IQ processing.

Whatever the lawyers provided by the university were able to plea down, doesn’t change the act.

Trust me, we've had plenty of legal issues with hoops and football in the past, we just sucked and no one cared pre-internet. Some of those particular folks flamed out and we never heard from them again, some turned things around.

Plea deals don't mean guilt. The kid needed to end this thing ASAP to get back to possibly having an NBA career.

Prosecutors also don't drop nine felonies to a misdemeanor and a gun safety class if they have a strong case or proof he was shooting into a car.

Immaturity and being 18 go hand in hand. But if he was living in a stand your ground state, none of this has any traction.
