2025 Offseason Portal Tracker

I still am totally perplexed as to bringing in Anthony James and never playing him. He can’t have been worse than what we saw on the field.

Hey Guys, I like this guy. However, at best he is an above average Big Sky QB. He hurt EWU with his decision making. AB is not a good evaluator of talent or developing talent. Idaho lost its starting qb and top running back from last year and still made the playoffs. Defense wins championships, BEAU Baldwin would have won another National championship if he would have had stouter defenses.

I know we have some young QB's waiting, but have yet to see them throw a ball in live action. The only other QBs we have seen are run 1st QB's.

Might just add the triple option next year!

I wish him the best but I agree with you. We aren't talking about EB3 or Vernon Adams here. KV is a serviceable, if not middling QB in the big sky.

We have been spoiled with Walter Payton Award winning quarterbacks. I don't think Kekoa is going to join that group but he is also a lot better than Gunnar Talkington. We should be able to win with a good not great quarterback. I have doubts that the coachs will find a better quarterback for next year than Visperas.

Visperas is the big name, but the rest of the guys are more of role-fillers that didn't see much time. He and Carpenter are the only guys of note.

The upside is this opens a lot of roster opportunities for incoming guys. We all knew incoming transfers were going to be the key to improvement over the short-term anyway. This is simply clearing a path for that to happen.
