Biggest non-playoff game in program history? Montana opens up as a 4.5 point favorite. 54.5 o/u, so predicted score of 29/30-25. Soooo glad we don't have to rely on worthless Pluto to watch this one.

https://weberstatesports.com/news/2019/11/11/football-wildcats-and-montana-in-national-showdown-saturday.aspx

It's a top 5 national and Big Sky Conference showdown as No. 3 Weber State heads to No. 4 Montana Saturday afternoon in Missoula.

The Wildcats remain third in the nation in this week's national polls. Weber State improved to 8-2 overall and 6-0 in Big Sky play following Saturday's comeback win over North Dakota. WSU has won seven-straight games, tied for the third-longest winning streak in school history.

The Wildcats are 6-0 in Big Sky play for just the second time in school history and a win Saturday would clinch at least a share of the conference title for the third-straight season.

Weber State has now been ranked in the top 10 in the nation for a school-record 19-straight weeks and 22 of the last 23 weeks. WSU has been nationally ranked in at least one poll every week since November 2016, a streak of 41-straight weeks. The Wildcats have also won 13-straight games and 25 of their last 27 games against Big Sky opponents.

Montana is 8-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play. The Grizzlies have won three-straight following Saturday's 42-17 win over Idaho. Montana is ranked fourth in the nation in the AFCA Coaches poll and fifth in the STATS FCS media poll.

This will be the highest-ranked matchup in school history and the first time Weber State has been in the top five in the country and faced another top-five team. This is the fourth-straight week the Wildcats will face a nationally-ranked opponent.

It will be Weber State's first visit to Missoula since October 2015 when the Wildcats defeated the Grizzlies in overtime.

Saturday's game will kickoff at 1 p.m. at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. The game will be televised on AT&T Sports Net Rocky Mountain, ROOT Sports Northwest and AT&T Sports Net Southwest, and nationally on the Audience Network Channel 239 on DirectTV. There will be no online steam of the game. Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO.

Biggest non playoff game ever indeed. Hopefully Montana's players are as over confident as their fans are. And hopefully Weber learned something from the North Dakota game. Time to make history this week.

Go Wildcats!

Meaningless depth chart included. As usual, Weber State Athletics is putting as little effort into this as possible.

WSUWildcat, like you, I'd love more info. I'm really going to struggle focusing for the next couple of days. I'm grateful there is a basketball game tomorrow (only because it helps us get to Saturday). However, I'm not sure we can blame Paul. He can only work with the information he is given. Not faulting Coach Hill either. Why give out any information that could potentially help opposing teams. Regardless, Saturday's game is going to be absolutely epic.

Looks like the weather is going to be relatively good for the trip to Montana. Might be a little rain on Friday night and no snow in the forecast until Monday. Good driving weather.

Who all is going to make the trip? We will be driving up on Friday and back on Sunday. Unfortunately, there is not going to be a formal Weber State function in Missoula this weekend, but I would be interested in grabbing a victory dinner with anyone in town Saturday evening.

Remember guys & gals going up, for your safety DON'T FEED THE GRIZZLY BEARS !!

I'm sure that if the Wildcats should lose...you'll be invited plenty by the locals for a dinner ROAST !!

What are options to watch the game?
I don't have access to the channels that will broadcast the game, I have Hulu live TV.
Any suggestions?

Go to Buffalo Wild Wings or somewhere else that can put the game on for you.

Not a big surprise, but seems like everyone is picking Montana. Weber really has nothing to lose. The pressure's on Montana. Just go out and play Weber football.

No. 3 Weber State @ No. 5 Montana

Brian: Montana 28-24

With Dalton Sneed re-emerging for Montana last weekend in the Idaho win, I have to say this: If Sneed does what he was doing prior to being injured against Sacramento State in mid-October ... and he can lead the Griz to wins over Weber State and Montana State in the Brawl of the Wild next week? My goodness, that might just make the Walter Payton Award race turn on its ear. If Sneed is ready for Weber State's defense --- easily the toughest in the Big Sky and one of the best in the entire FCS -- this one should be interesting. Weber State is a tough out, there's no question, but I have a feeling about this one and the home team. Then the big question emerges ... what about the final week?

Sam: Montana 28-27

This is a chance for the Griz to grab a huge resume-boosting win and show how legit they are. There are a lot of matchups to watch for in this game. Montana's offensive line has improved after struggling last year, but how well does it hold up against a tremendous defensive front? How does the young Weber secondary do against one of the top passing attacks in the FCS? UND threw for nearly 300 yards last week in a near-upset at Weber. And two of Weber's top three rushers were knocked out of last week's game, including Josh Davis. If they can't go, how much success can the Wildcats have on offense? If this game is played in Ogden, I'd go with Weber. But I'll go with Montana here in an electric home atmosphere.

Good luck with Griz fan. I won't be making the trip.

In the past, the WSU Destruction has watched road games at Steiny's. I would assume they can get the game on a screen or two.

Waldo, you can sign up for ATT Now. It a $15.00 a month streaming package that included audience network. They show all the root games on audience. I have watched all the root games on it this year and it’s reliable. Also...don’t want to pay? 7day free trial..easy one click cancel option.

Davis, Jackson, and Heckard all left the UND game with injuries. Anyone heard any updates? All three of these guys would be important to have in this game.

BIG SKY BREAKDOWN

Ryan Tootell, ESPN Missoula – 3:57

Dan Hawkins, UC Davis head coach – 36:27

Jadrian Clark, former Weber State quarterback – 48:06

Josh Sandry, Montana senior safety – 58:15

Angel Villanueva & Cy Sirmon, Montana senior offensive linemen – 1:02:50

Travis DeCuire, Montana men’s basketball coach — 1:07:25

Very big game! I think if both teams win their last game, they should both get a bye and home game. Does Weber State’s defense win out, or does Montana’s high power offense take control?

It should be a great game. With it being even, you probably give a small edge to the home team, but the Wildcats have impressed me when I thin the odds are against them.

If Weber State wins, I think they have a case to be #2 (three top ten wins with two on the road, and two top 25 wins with one on the road...plus two tight games vs FBS).

Go Wildcats!

Game day in Missoula. Weather should not be a factor. Was a nice 50+ degrees as we drove in yesterday. Probably be 45 or so at game time.

This will be a battle. I think the game will be won by big plays. For Weber to win, they need to stuff the run and bring pressure to the pocket on defense and prevent whoever is playing QB from feeling comfortable.

On offense we just need to maintain possession and find running lanes. We cannot lose the turnover battle and win. Constantine needs to be solid, he won't win the game for Weber, but he might lose it.

Picking Weber in a close game 34-30
