• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

38 DAYS UNTIL KICKOFF

So we now have 38 days until kickoff(it can't get here fast enough) when does practice offically start? Any news on D1 transfers, academic casualties, or guys just leaving or joining the program? How is Derek Johnson coming along, and what will be the strenghts and weaknesses or this team?

On paper...there aren't too many weaknesses. One area of timirity would have to be the Offensive Line, but I've seen some of the horses Coach has brought in, and I think the team will be fine. A little inexperienced, but by the time Weber plays its first Big Sky contest all the kinks should be worked out. On Defense there aren't a lot of veteran backups, and that could be an issue, but who knows that could also be a strength. Unknown players makes it hard for opposing teams to prepare for, and I'm sure that the backups are skilled in their positions. Our strenghts are definitely the returning starters and lettermen. I think our offense will roll over everyone, but what will really open the offense up will be Higgins... He's got a good arm and can run. I don't think Trevyn will repeat, since Weber wont need to depend on him as much, and besides Weber has a couple other backs who can take some reps. That will be good on Smith, he will have more at the end of the games, and most importantly, the season. Its about winning games and the conference title, not about individual accolades.
I've been saying it all winter, this upcoming season is going to be tough... There are six teams that could win the Sky this year.
Practice starts the first Monday in August... I believe, at least thats what I think Toone told me.

So can we organize a date to take posters and schedules out to the Businesses in Ogden or what? A few posters on the Frontrunner would be a good start.

Does a Friday afternoon work for all of you to hand out posters?? Let me know ASAP then we can get it organized and "get er done".

The final scrimmage for the fall camp is going to be held on August 23rd @ noon. It will be a meet the team type of thing along with other fall sports being represented. It should be a fun time for all. Bring the whole family and enjoy the final scrimmage.

I think I will grab a bunch of extra posters at the fan fest to hand out. Work days are tough for me to get off.
