#4 MSU at #3 EWU Game Thread

Great game, total domination in the second half. And still in control of our own destiny, which is the key thing. Go Eags!

If I'm not mistaken, Eastern will actually clinch the Big Sky Championship--- including the auto-berth--- with a win next week. Even if Eastern picks up a loss somewhere along the way (God forbid), all the tie-breakers with NAU or Montana State would favor the Eagles.

Poly will be a tough out. But if we can beat them and PSU, we win the conference outright and could quite possibly get the #2 seed. May need E. Illinois to lose, though.

Great game to attend today and looking forward to a road trip to CalPoly next week. Their triple option always is tough on us but Larry Weir said that the mustangs are down to their third string quarterback. What a great time to be an eagle! :thumb:

That third string QB is damn good.

If we win out strength of schedule will get us into the #2 seed.

Congratulations on the win today. You guys have the best WRs in the country. Your coaches had a good game plan and made the right adjustments in the 2nd half. I don't know of many programs that will be able to keep up with your offense.

Continue to play the way we did today and those wins will take care of themselves as will the seeding.

Although I agree that we have a better SoS, I think if both EWU and Eastern Illinois win out, EIU probably gets the #2 seed. Remember, they have a win over San Diego State, and their only loss at 9-1 is to FBS Northern Illinois.

It'd hard to overlook the relatively weak OVC, but EIU has won every game they should have, and one they shouldn't. Our disadvantage came from playing 2 FBS schools this year PLUS a very good Sam Houston State squad.

A number of articles credit VA for 38 TDs on the season. The school's article credits him with 39, which makes sense to me since I was under the impression that he had 35 as of last week followed by 4 yesterday. Is 39 correct? Either way, that BSC record is going down.

If you treat it like NCAA basketball, here are the resume's against quality opponents.

EWU
@ #25 Oregon State W 49-46
@ Toledo L 33-21
@ #6 Sam Houston L 49-34
@ #10 Montana W 42-37
vs #4 Montana State W 54-29

EIU:
@ San Diego State W 40-19
@ N Illinois L 43-39

Just sayin'

I think we have more quality wins too but SIU, ISU, TSU, and EKU are decent to quality wins for the as well.
