I must admit, I was hoping for more than a 16 seed; however, we lost 3 or 4 games we shouldn't have. I guess it's just how the ball bounces sometimes. In all but 1 of the last 5 years, we would have been at least a 13 or 14.
It's going to be tough to beat anybody because the field is covered in talent; however, if we are going to win, I would much rather win as a 16. This is because winning as a 16 seed would be one of biggest stories in the history of sports, since it has never happened. The entire nation would be talking about it, even people who don't follow sports. It wouldn't just be on ESPN and CBS. It would be all over CNN and every other channel. What an amazing opportunity!!!
I have watched Arizona play and they look lights out some nights and beatable on others. A good example of this is the night they killed Utah as compared to the night Utah took them to OT. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a 16 that has the talent, athleticism and togetherness of WEber! If we can stay in the game, I know the OSU and ZAG fans will get behind us as well. It's just 5 guys and a ball on a neutral court with neutral officials.
It has to happen sometime! Why not us!?!
