#5 EWU vs. PSU

Uh, Eagles win big?
I'll take it! :)

In all seriousness though, PSU does always play us tough. I also heard it's supposed to pour, should make it interesting. I do know that after last week's debacle, our team is extremely focused on starting out right, sustaining, and finishing. I expect the Viks to keep it on the ground as much as possible and try to grind it out against us. Hopefully we can rip the ball out.

Is your stadium completely covered or partially ? Deciding whether to bring full rain gear or only a jacket.

Clawman, I know general admission and sections 115 - 123 (which is where it seems most visitor fans seem to be) are out of the rain (depending on the wind) from about the 10th row on up. We're in row N and have never felt a drop. The club seats and sections that number in the 90s, I'm not sure about, but most seem to be under cover.

And, I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but sadly there will probably be about 15,000 seats available for you to purchase.

Any reserved seats above Row N is about 90% guaranteed covered.

The only sections you would want to worry about are 90-94 and 99 which have no covers at all.

I'd recommend sitting around 121/221 for EWU fans, since that's where majority of the parents, guests, and alumnis are sitting at.

Seems like every week is the biggest game of the year for the Eags, and this is no exception. With a Big Sky title and possibly playoff seed on the line, it really doesn't get any bigger for the Eags. With the exception of the 2009 and 2010 games, PSU always plays us tough and I expect this will be a very competitive game. In particular EWU will need the kind of defensive effort we got during the MSU, Sac State, UND and Cal Poly games, and not so much the Montana game. We usually have a hard time stopping PSU's running game, so if we can't do that this will be tough to win eapecially if the weather slows down our passing game. What's the weather supposed to be like this afternoon?

If the rain I woke up to this morning is any indication, it's probably going to be 2010 all over again. Pouring rain and Eagles points. :|

I just hope our offense can make something happen so it won't be a repeat of last week's debacle.

That's too bad, really. It'd be nice to send Marquis off with him getting to play at least a little bit.

Kinda like Cory and Carl last season, not getting to dress for Senior Day. That must be tough.

The epitome of Viking football today. I'm not saying this as good or bad, as it includes both. Another game that we basically won, but dribbled down our pant leg. It gets old, but as games like this mount, they certainly sting less.

Some comments:

- What in the hell was with that PI call down the southeast side of field in the 4th quarter. First off, there was zero interference. Second, I don't even think that the pass could be caught. Boo.

- I can deal with a couple of weird catches that bounce a certain way, but there were two tonight that went EWU's way. Those were big ones that bounced off of feet and the like for big gains.

- Penalties. All season long.

- Zero yards given on the ground, four TDs given on the ground. :-\

- Two missed field goals. Big.

- McDonagh looked great at times, and freshman at others.

- Hats off to the EWU folks that made it out. They made some noise at times.

Another game where we probably had just as much talent at many positions, but our mistakes and lack of the talent in certain positions turned a win into a loss.

Someday I suppose. There's always next season...

We should have won this one, but EWU killed us through the air. Add in those miracle catches, and they ran away with it. Take those away, and we would have had a shot.

But 0 yards on the ground is nothing to sneeze at. If we can keep that up for next season and get good Pass Defense, we should have a killer defense.
