Gotta love the Show and Thrill!!

I still have a copy of this game on video. Too bad I no longer have a VCR.
While the victory over UNC is a great memory, I still think about what might've been, had we hung on to beat Florida in the round of 32. Noel Jackson at the line to shoot 3 with 8 seconds to go and Weber down 2. He makes 2 of 3, game goes to OT and Weber loses. And Florida went on to lose to Gonzaga in the next round. Could Weber have beat the Zags and made it to the Elite 8? Oh well. Too much speculating.
Similar thing following our win over Michigan State in 95. We had Georgetown in the round of 32. A missed free throw on our end and a lucky shot by the Hoyas and no Sweet 16 for the Cats.

Me too, I need to get it copied to DVD and watch it again. Those were great times as are these right now. '99 and '95 were eerily similar. That was a special group of kids and don't forget :notworthy: Abegglen :notworthy: , arguably the best in-game coach in WSU history. He was a master at game planning too. I think Rahe is a very good game planner too and a master at recruiting. This coming season can't get started soon enough!

If the poster above is being recruited by WSU we need to be careful to avoid violating ncaa rules. A few general thoughts. I think we all enjoyed watching Noel, Harold, Eddie, etc. play. That year will always be one of the awesome college experiences I had. But it was a bad deal what Jackson and Baskerville did and I hope they have made changes in their lives for the better.

You have to believe that if he was a 2013 graduate and qualified both academically and talent wise that he would already be in a program. Lots of fish in the sea, but wouldn't set the hook on this one.

Don't believe the hype..... Lots of ways to get recruited besides fan forums.
