A bit dissapointed (UNC bookstore)

Went to Yellowstone last week and while we were out West we swung by UNC and went to the bookstore. I wanted to buy some Big Sky Champion basketball shirts and was surprised to see they didn't have any. In fact, there was nothing to suggest that the Mens Basketball team won anythign last year.

Ended up getting a lanyard, sweatshirt, shorts and a t-shirt. Dropped quite a bit of cash between the wife and I and the kids but we only make it out every 2 or 3 years.

The new dorms on West Campus where McCowen used to be look fantastic.

I know when they were Barnes and Noble they had some, but since they changed ownership, I haven't seen any. You can still order on bigskyconf.comI did go there last week and was disappointed as well. They have a million sweatshirts and hardly any t-shirts.

I think UNC is dropping the ball not having an online shop accessible from the athletic department website... you have to go the Big Sky webpage to buy a t shirt... they gave some lame excuse when they dropped the online store that they didn't want to compete with the bookstore but funny the other 500 NCAA athletic departments out there don't seem to have that problem.

Give the bookstore a little time: the changeover only happened at the 1st of July, so I think Follet is still trying to take stock on needs, etc. B&N didn't seem to care much about the store, which included a very disappointing selection of gear. I do believe that all of the championship gear that B&N had in stock leading up to July had sold out, but they really only did a very limited run of stuff--only 1 kind of t-shirt & maybe a sweatshirt...

As for the UNC site not selling via the bookstore, IIRC B&N had an agreement through CSTV' to sell on those websites, but doesn't have an arrangement with PrestoSports.
