A little wager

I find it interesting that this thread has denegrated to a critique of different apple varieties. Apparently Maine fans are only interested in jaw flapping and won't put their syrup at risk!

The Betting line may support your contention but the facts belabor what really took place with U.C. Davis.
The odds out of Vegas are in Maines favor...I don't make these things up either. I can sense a certain paranoia
with your team right now...and some EWU fans are starting to question...This is all good for Maine...

But that being said this is going to be a tight game from the start. I think it will come down to turnovers
and which team can capitalize on those turnovers.

The Eastern Washington Eagles are a good football team, but they're lucky to even be in this game, as they needed 20 fourth quarter points and a last minute touchdown to beat UC Davis. The Maine Black Bears pretty much dominated a sharp Weber State club, allowing negative rushing yards and forcing four turnovers. While one week is just that, you have to be a bit more positive about Maine right now. The Maine Black Bears are playing with house money and riding high on the confidence. Maine has a very aggressive defense and is more than battle tested. I'm taking the points here.

Again lots of talk, lets see some action! Does this mean you are taking my bet?

It seems like you’re trying to convince yourself that Maine is going to be competitive in this game. Most of all already know that. Most of us also knew the Davis playoff game was going to be tough to win. They are a very good football team that EWU had to beat twice this year just to be in this position.

Frankly, the Weber comparison/transitive property argument isn’t a great one for obvious reasons, but if you want to put all your stock into that one be my guest.

My guess is that you’re going to find out Saturday that this EWU team may be a bit better than what you’re giving them credit for.

FWIW, I’d probably put the the line closer to EWU -3 if I were a betting man, which I’m not.

I did not write that. That was in the article out of Vegas...

Just want to point out- dude said he's taking the points, not that he thinks Maine is going to win. Also, the odds aren't "in Maine's favor." You're eleven point odds which means "Vegas" thinks you are going to lose by exactly 11 points. Some dude who knows how to blog thinks it'll be closer than that.

Exactly, and line has moved up from 11 to 11.5-12 meaning money coming in on EWU. I am a betting man and my advice is don't follow Randy Chambers..he sucks..like he represents Vegas. He has a room in his Mom's basement (forreal actually they are on same level) and lives in Clevland...hahaha
*Heck I may very well take the pts specially if it goes higher(but then very well may go lower) bottom line EWU wins.

That's the problem with betting on your team. I can never take the points even if I think the spread is to high. Feels like a betrayal.
