Another virtually meaningless pre-season poll. Still, nice to get some recognition I suppose. Four BSC teams in the top 25, not too bad.

I think we are at about the right spot at #14. We're definitely not a top 10 team at this point with the ? marks defensively and with a new QB; but I would also have a hard time putting us any lower than #15 with the proven weapons we do have.

Not really sure about WSU at #18 - too much turnover from last year and they will live and die by Higgins, who has proven somewhat inconsistent.

I also think I would put NAU in there in lieu of MSU.

With the new crew at Montana I would put them closer to 5. The others seem reasonable to me but sometimes I think these 1-AA publications just look at who made the playoffs the year before and then rank teams based off of where they finished. I'm not sure if there's really a lot of thought put into most of these things.

If South Carolina State is really the 10th best team in FCS, then FCS is going to be WAY DOWN this year. AGS is usually pretty on target, but that is about as unproven as a top 10 team can be.

SOOOO true , another meaningless poll but still interesting to see what others think ! Agreed on NAU, think they're gonna surprise if they can stay healthy. I also think the season for EWU will be decided on the first red turf game, win that one and quite possible to run the table ! That would be a TON of momentum heading into the next 3 weeks ! GO EAGS !!!!

They've given App State and AE all they can handle the last two years in the first round.

That's right where I had them.

In retrospect, I would flip NAU and Weber. I guess last season's results influenced me a little. NAU should be good like always, but then again they always collapse in the second half of the season, so we'll see.

This one's not a publication. It's from the Any Given Saturday web site. That probably makes it even more subjective though.
