Another hard fought effort by the Bears fell short Tuesday afternoon in Greeley.
UNC tied the game 2-2 in the 7th and had a chance in the 9th for their second straight walk off victory but left the bases loaded. Air Force got a clutch 2 out hit in the 10th to plate 2 runs.
Great to see how much fight is left in the UNC squad and their overall play seems to be improving. Taking at least 2 of 3 at last place Chicago State this weekend will keep the Bears in the heat of the WAC conference race.
UNC is now 8-23, 3-5 in the WAC, Chicago State is 7-29, 1-11 in the WAC. The Cougars have lost 8 straight and host Valparaiso today.
