I Worry about a weekday game with an early start time. East Carolina isn't a well known school. I'd love to get 7,500. That would be good home court advantage, and look good for national television.

I think we can expect in the 7-8k range. I hope the school does a huge marketing push. Plaster the Standard-Examiner, Twitter, Facebook, E-mails, calls from C.Rahe and hopefully get 1280 the Zone on campus again :-D . I hope something is done on campus to stir up excitement. Would be nice to have a group passing out flyers and have a booth set up by EH with a loud speaker promoting the game!! :-D Need to have signs on doors, posters, hand outs etc. Signs are a must!! Things that would encourage students to come are, "Championship Game, TV game, C-USA team, East Carolina etc." To bad its a Tuesday game at 6pm. I am still going with the 7-8k range..

I'd love to see 7500+ but it's not gonna happen on a Tuesday night, with a televised game. I really do hope Weber (and the community) go nuts with promotion of the game but it still likely won't matter. All three games Weber has hosted so far I've been trying my darnedest to get friends, family, and even strangers up to the DEC and to my knowledge I got three, total. Even the students haven't produced great numbers yet, it's so sad, especially having grown up attending so many of the games since the late 70's.

Here's the other BIG problem that will likely keep us from even coming close to a sellout. And I hate to say it, too ... BYU is playing its NIT semifinal against Baylor at 5 p.m. the same night. Ugh! Who'd have thought two in-state schools would still be competing for fan bases in APRIL?

That sucks! They were playing the same night Weber hosted ORU, too. So, Weber's up against a weeknight game, early start, televised game, Spring Break for Davis County, byu playing same time, and a high percentage of WSU student body that have no school pride/spirit. :ohno:

Yeah ... But all that being said, this is certainly a unique situation. The CIT Championship is something the community seems to be getting more excited about as WSU keeps winning. I'm sure WSU will pull out all the stops to promote this thing. Plus, the fans that have been showing up are the most die-hard of Wildcat fans and have been very electric during the tournament. Here's hoping :thumb:

10:10 PM and Randy Rahe just called asking me to support the 'cats. Too late, coach, I've already reserved my families' tix, see you at 5:30ish.

Was this a voice recording animation call?

would be cool if we could get them to show up. but when they dont show up for byu or usu at home when will they ever show up? by showing up i mean 2,000 or more. is it too much to hope for 7% of the student body to come to a big home game?

Got my call. Unfortunately, as has been mentioned, it's spring break for my kids and we'll be out of town.

What an awesome win! Have faith that the fans will come out. This team is special and deserve a full house for this game no matter which might they play. This team has broken all kinds of records this year. They refuse to lose. We keep getting quality wins. For sure It's a greatgreatgreat time to be a Wildcat. Congrats team. You do us proud!

While a few losers will stay home and watch Cosmo mate with a Bear, most will go to the Purple Palace to see a championship game live. I predict there will be over 9k in attendance. My exact prediction is 9,173

I just added the available seats left and there were only 3457 available. I don't know how accurate that is, but that would mean they have sold over 8000 tickets already.

They have all the season ticket holder's seats still reserved until tomorrow at noon, so I would think the #'s will change

I feel we will at least get 7,000
Based on my rough calculations on what is still available, we have already sold over 6,500 (not including the 3 student sections) and it's only Sunday night right now. However, as someone already pointed out, the season ticket holders will still open up. Still possible we can crack 9,000.
