The Big Sky is down to one team in the playoffs. Can they upset the Sam Houston Bearcats?
I say YES. What say you?
Go Bobcats!

I got a bunch on MSU+7...I back pedaled before the game and bet JMU after first wagering on UM. Was looking at Luckys score prediction and told bookie JMU by 20...thx Lucky!
Have NDSU covering the 26.

If the Bobcat's defense plays to their potential, they can beat SHSU. I know they won’t be embarrassingly manhandled like Montana did last night.

Sorry on that NDSU score, not sure why they didn't just truck them in the second half.

I think I said it, but MSU's db's are very good and can keep SHSU's passing game in check. They didn't play anyone with a defense like this all season. Tough down in Huntsville, but counting on the Kitties taking down the Kats.

When we see the Bobcats QB is allowed to use his skills it really makes me sick about what EB3 could have done and would the Eagles still be playing?

nice MSU ass whoppin and the team i dislike the most shsu...think the msu qb is 3rd stringer looking really good...21-0 so far

Congratulations to the Bobcats. I like their chances against the Jackrabbits at home. It won't be easy but the JAcks have to be getting weary.
What is a play caller doing when they keep running between the tackles with very little success? There must be something I'm not seeing because common sense shows it is not working.
What am I missing?

Wow, that was a very enjoyable ass-whoopin’ to watch. Congrats to the Cats.

Holy Cow!! Kats annihilate the Kats in Huntsville. 42 - 19

Did not watch the game, 3 INT's of the SHSU QB. I believed the MSU Db's were the best Eastern saw this season and SHSU hadn't seen a good defense all year. Gotta say congratulations to the Bobcats on a big win.

Hate living vicariously through MSU, but wish them the best the remainder of the run. It's obvious that people out of the NDSU coaching tree can actually excel at this level.

Great 8 min hightlight. Gotta say, really enjoyed the int's. MSU had SHSU offense befuddled.

I was hoping Eastern would get drawn into Sam Houston's group. Had we been the 8 seed, we'd have matched up with them. I always had an "the Emporer has no clothes" impression of them. They were undefeated but their seed was mostly based on being the defending champ. If you look at their body of work this season, they've been beating sub-par teams rather unimpressively.

However, there is ZERO chance Eastern would've held them to just 19 points. We could've outscored them, but they'd have been far more effective offensively against us. One thing that is obvious among the four teams left, all are structured around their defense. JMU held Montana to just 6 points (and we gave up *FIFTY SEVEN* the week before!), NDSU held ETSU to 3, South Dakota State gave up the most with 21 in their win, and Montana State held Sam Houston State to 19. In modern football, you struggle to win by outscoring teams. That may have been a viable model 5 years ago, but defense still wins championships. It's no different at the FBS level either, where all of the final four teams are shutting offenses down.

This old QB who loves the gaudy offenses the EAGS have had in the last decade . But I agree with you. Eastern needs a full team balance between offense, defense and special teams. I assume that means from a recruiting and scholarship standpoint, there needs to be more balance also.

That 2010 team was balanced and if I remember accurately was a lot like the current JMU team. I think for the most part, the current athletes we have on defense, can make this a solid defense. From what I see we need help at linebacker, unless the youth on the team surprise.

Special teams was just flat out dismal. I had read from a previous post that the EAGS don't have a special teams coach. Someone must have been filling the void. Also, if you need to play your starters on special teams, then do so. Special teams cost the EAGS two games this year. Just no excuses for that.

Thanks to the handful of EWU fans that showed up in Huntsville to cheer on MSU!

I'm cheering for the Bobcats this Saturday. I thought if your defense played to their potential you would get past SHSU. I didn't expect the scoring bomb the Cats dropped on SHSU. SDSU is a stronger opponent this week, but I think the Cats will win a tight game and move on to the chipper. The Cats are my favorite Montana team, and I'm an alum of UM. :D
