Heard a rumor that defensive line coach Jon Carpenter's office has been cleaned out and that he has not been seen around the building since the kids returned from break.

Can anybody confirm?

Maybe Kerr is pushing some guys out? He can bring in who he wants now which is probably best.

Kerr probably wants to get on the field with them and show them how it's done. That's what Hoverounds are for.

Rumor is OL Coach Smith is moving on to another opportunity.

That's too bad. I've heard good things about him. We've got to open the wallet to keep good, young coaches here. I am a bit surprised though because of how god-awful our offensive line was the past two seasons. I think Smith has a good upside and seems like a good recruiter. Open up the damn checkbook Bears fans!!!!

Coach Smith is o line coach at d2 New Haven. I remember killing those guys when we were D2.

Yep, I was at the game in Florence, Alabama. We really kicked the hell out of them. Had 3 times as many UNC fans at the game as New Haven fans as well.

Pretty disappointed he took the same position at a D2 school.

Yeah but this is a D2 school talent and performance wise and we lost to a D2 at home so ever further verification... OK, it makes sense now...

When you are a young man beginning your coaching career..unattached with no wife or kids and you get a chance to nearly double your income and be on staff with a coach you played for....you really can't turn that opportunity down! New Haven will be better with Chris Smith and the Bears will bring the ROAR BACK IN 14!!

He's doubling his salary at a D2 school? Yikes, we really need to move back down a division. If we pay RMAC salaries, we need to be in the RMAC.
