The Napa Valley Register (CA) has a nice feature on Marcus Armstrong-Brown (whose father played at Boise State), a hard working athlete who hopes to play as a wide receiver...

Marcus Armstrong-Brown is spending his summer focusing on football, doing all that he can to stay strong and sharp as he prepares to head off to college as a preferred walk-on at Idaho State.

Armstrong-Brown will try out for the Bengals as a wide receiver in early August.

The Justin-Siena High School graduate and other players will go through a nine-day session, each athlete looking to impress coaches while trying to lock down a roster spot.

“I love the game, plain and simple,” said Armstrong-Brown, the starting quarterback on the Braves’ CIF North Coast Section Division IV title team last year. “I was blessed with the ability to play it well. I just want it to continue. I like the environment and I like how football gives you a chance to meet new people.
