Any transfers?

The latest roster shows these three: Jordan Dascalo, Punter, Soph transfer Washinton State; Jacob Klingenberg, Tight End, Senior transfer Idaho; LaShawn Jameison, DB, Junior transfer Southern Oregon (was on the spring roster).

Was looking for info on Jared Klingenberg, transfer from Idaho. Listed as a senior transfer. On the Idaho website looks like he red shirted in '11, played in 2 games in '12, played in 4 games in '13 and 9 games in '14. Only has one catch so must be a good blocker even though he has had some injury issues in the past. Interesting pick-up...from small school in Western Washington.

Jordan Descalo is listed on the latest EWU roster as a sophomore transfer punter from WSU. When the writer who covers WSU football for the Review noticed he wasn't on the recent Wazzu updated roster he wrote that missing was punter Jordan Descalo who showed a booming leg as WSU's starting punter last year. Our punter graduated, don't we need a punter?

I've heard we could be getting one more Pac-12 transfer prior to fall camp opening. If what I have heard is correct, this guy has the potential to be an impact player on day 1. Stay tuned.

Talk is cheap and anonymous posts on a blog are even cheaper.

What I can tell you right now is that he played last year at one of the CA Pac 12 schools and was given his release last week. He is currently considering EWU, NAU, and MSU. Just keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks.

Must be Puff Daddys Kid

Hmmmm... Diddy Combs vs Aaron Best...I'd pay to see that! Better yet Cal's starting center?

Interesting. I have confidence that Boatright can take the reins at Center, although it's not his natural position. Wonder what the deal is with this guy.

All of a sudden two Pac 12 oline underclassmen looking for homes. I wonder what Cal center did to get kicked of team, you would think it had to be something major considering they were counting on him playing center. In Spokesman review today WSU confirmed a freshman lineman left to find more opportunities to play. We're solid but can't help to thing either one or both of them may have contacted ewu. EWU is solid, but may be opportunities to compete next year, who knows. EWU does have the reputation for a good place for O-lineman. Other roster casualties all across Pac 12, a very interesting couple of weeks heading into fall.

Eastern has probably an all senior Oline this year, but would they turn it down if they had the chance to recruit a three star O lineman (Sean Krepsz) who reportably had offers from besides WSU Colo St, Fresno St, San Diego St, San Jose St, and Utah St. He enrolled at WSU in January 2014 and redshirted that year. If he enrolls at a FCS school would he have four years of eligibility?

So hard to know what the situations are with various guys and almost every kid leaves a program for a different reason. But from a talent perspective alone, I'd have a hard time seeing Baldwin pass on the kid from Cal. We have some outstanding offensive lineman coming in as true freshman this year, but outside of that we're not really deep there since all of our starters will be Seniors this year.

As long as the kid didn't do anything agregious, I'm almost always in favor of giving a kid a second chance as long as the desire is there on the part of the player to make good on that second chance (see Andru Pulu and Tevin McDonald).

Krepsz should have 4 years of eligibility and could play immediately this year if he came in. Similar to the kid from Cal, I don't think we'd pass based off of talent alone, but I'm not sure what the situation is with him, either.
