Anyone else denied access over at the Hen House?

So after reading the Hen forum board for a bit I decided last week to register so I could exchange some viewpoints but have yet to be approved by their admistrator. Wouldn't be a big deal except I went on the Hen House tonight and there's a shout out thread entitled "Hello Eagle Fans ... Where Are You?" And some of their comments indicate there's no Eagle Fans talking cause there's no fanbase.

Gee, I'd like to tell them we're ready to talk but their admin is apparently either too lazy to check his email or not too hospitable. Not a big deal since I can live without blabbing on their site but their assumptions about why people aren't on their site (and all their other sterotypical comments) does explain why they have such a one dimensional view of things.

Hannah,

I registered at gohens and it took a couple of days for the administrator to approve me. I did post a couple of comments on one of their threads, but the UD fans didn't seem to have much interest in responding to my posts.

When saw the thread entitled "Hello Eagle Fans ... Where Are You?" I responded that an Eagle fan had indeed posted but that no one there seemed much interested in hearing from me. To be honest with you, the lack of exchange wasn't surprising considering the attitude of many of their fans.

The admin is a busy guy who grants access when he can. If I remember correctly he has to do a great deal of traveling for work.

We've also had some issues with Spambots gaining access to the site, which is why he took away the automatic registration.

Keep your pants on, you'll be up to your neck in some of the most in depth, intelligent conversation this side of the Economist comment section in no time. :geek:

Being from the East Coast originally and having read your blog for the past couple of weeks, I seriously doubt that last comment to be the case!

Their admin has been on today. I'm guessing those of you that were looking for access have it now.

Kalm's already shot a couple of rounds across their bow. I think they're probably a pretty fun bunch, unlike our fat-assed friends at NDSU...

It was good for them. Way to represent yourself Dozer. :D

If you had an axe you couldn't have chopped your way better through my sarcasm. :D

I am the administrator at GoHens.net and I can assure you, no Eagles fans have been denied access.
As others have said here, I had to go to a more manual registration technique to prevent all of the spammers from invading the site. At it's worst I had about 50 new registration requests per day - all of which I look through to see if the email address is from Russia, or the username contains something obscene or etc. etc. - you get the idea. Several EWU fans have registered and I just approved a bunch on Monday morning.

HannahO,
Please check your email. You should have received a confirmation.

GoHens.net has always welcomed fans from other schools on our boards. I makes life more interesting.
I think you folks will find the Hen fans to be like Montana fans. There's a lot of good ones and a lot of bad ones and a lot of in-between ones. Bottom line is - there's a lot of us. Whenever you have a group that large, you tend to notice more of the extremes.

I got a little uppity and you were gracious. :D

Hey, are we being a little thin skinned over here with banning Hen fans? A couple of guys on their site have said they got banned over here. I haven't seen anything warranting that. We need to be able to take a little if we plan on giving a little. It ain't like they're acting like NDSU...

Don't you love college football? Especially at a level where you watch some NFL quality players who play in a system that picks a champion on the field. Feel sorry for my buds who follow teams that hope to make a bowl game that no one cares about and no one attends, except for the two schools involved, some sponsors and a few folks who can't find anything else to watch on TV. Feel great for those who recently jumped on the EWU bandwagon and have experienced NCAA playoff football. Like the Big Dance, you know who's best at the end. See you in Texas or enjoy watching on ESPN2.
