Portland State can only finish 5th or 6th. Beating Northern Colorado Saturday is good for momentum, but a Weber that got embarrased in Pocatello last night needs to beat Montana State in Bozeman to offer help... which matters depending

Wow! great posts Pounder, man would it suck to have your season come down to a coin toss

Damn... Andrea Lightfoot hits a 3 at the buzzer to lead Idaho State to a 91-90 win over Portland State (women, of course). Sounded like quite the game.

As many of you probably know, MSU will be the Saturday quarterfinal opponent.
An ISU win over UM tomorrow night will seal the hosting.
Take a look at page 7 for the remaining 16 possibilities!

I updated the post above to show what's needed to host.

We're well off to root for Idaho State tonight and tomorrow night. Two Bengal wins = 3 seed for Portland State. If ISU merely beats Montana State, but not Montana, PSU hosts as a 4 seed.

If Idaho State loses to Montana State Tuesday, Portland State is a 5 seed and travels to Bozeman.

Thing is, if Idaho State loses to Montana tonight, they can't qualify for the conference tournament, meaning they'd be looking for motivation Tuesday night.

Here are the remaining 16 scenarios.

PSU hosts when shown in yellow, travels when in green. The opponent is always MSU.

Note: RPI indicates a tie-break determined by RPI between EWU and ISU.

I messed up. Note that Portland State hosts UNLESS Idaho State loses both games AND Northern Colorado shocks Northern Arizona.

It's still good for PSU if ISU wins twice, placing Portland State as the 3rd seed... unless you'd rather face Weber in Ogden in the semis. Maybe I'm old-fashioned that way.

If I recall, the loss at MSU was one of the last games before Bone brought out the big starting lineup. I think that adds a little wrinkle to MSU's preparation, and might give PSU an advantage.

No you're not. I think that's a good call.

GO VIKS!!
