Archibeque transfers to Ft. Lewis

I wonder if the coach let him know that he would probably not play very much next season and did him a favor.

Thats strange, why would he transfer to a D2 program, I cant imingine that he would not play a big role at UNC...

But maybe like Brian said Boyle did him a favor.

If he was a guard maybe but we have no centers. Banks is a PF and he got stuck at center all season and you can never have too many big bodies and he had proven himself at the Big Sky level the year before so no questions there.

I guess we have to take him at face value and just accept he wanted to be closer to home as crazy as that might be.

This isn't good at all. I like Arch's game. Now I'm really worried about our lack of size. That's how we kept losing to Montana. Damn. Oh well...he can become bear pong champ of southern Colorado now.

For a guy who wanted to make sure he got his "senior" plaque at the final home game this year, making this move just throws more gas on the bridge he started burning at mid-season.

Thats sad

Troy - what happened with Arch? Did he just not like playing for Tad? This is just a said way to end a great career at UNC for this guy.

I'm not going to say much about it, because the BB staff has been intent on taking the high road. There are key clues, though, in certain things that were or weren't taking place during the latter part of the season.

Well if that is the case it's best he move on. He had a good run here but of course was recruitted by Rasmussen and wasn't a "Boyle" guy. That's what's nice about getting a good coach in here with his guys they have certain expectations and bring in people that understand that.
