Arkansas

I would like to, but it is becoming more of a pipe dream.

Besides, Arkansas's campus is tucked up there in the NW corner of the state, near Missouri and, umm, Oklahoma. And I have a feeling they won't let anyone from Portland near Oklahoma for awhile.

Not with my Trail Blazer plates. :thumb:

I’m going into Oklahoma to visit family and attend the Choctaw nation powwow

Since I'm living in Texas, Arkansas really isn't that far for me, if there is a large group going, I'll look into also going and doing a meet and greet.

Besides, if I can go through Denton while wearing my PSU hat and jersey I don't think Arkansas will be a problem for Blazer plates.

I am seriously thinking of getting personalized green Texas plates that say PSU VIKS.

Game is scheduled for 3pm CDT start (1pm PDT) and will be shown on SEC Network.

Most of the SEC plays on grass.

Oh, wait, you're talking about the field. Never mind. ;-)

I’ll be staying in Tulsa but could you tell me some good places to eat in Fayetteville. I will be there around 11 am to tour a bit.

East Washington State? West Washington State?

The one in Pullman and the one in, I don't know, Aberdeen?

Foghorns Wings right across from the baseball stadium (Baum Stadium) is a popular spot. Hugo's on the downtown square has good burgers, Herman's on college is a staple that's been there forever. Hammontrees is "gourmet grilled cheese" if you want something a little different. For BBQ I would go to Wright's BBQ, it's Texas-style and some of the best in Arkansas IMO. The Catfish Hole's hush puppies are amazing and we take our recruits there because it has a good atmosphere on game weekends. Cafe Rue Orleans has Cajun-style seafood.

Other than that it depends what you're in the mood for. Dickson Street has a nice bar strip and is where most of the younger crowd goes before and after games. JJ's Beer Garden & Brewing Co. (JBGB) is another good one.

Geez, the food alone makes me want to go. :thumb:

1pm kickoff next Saturday. Game on SEC network so should be available pretty much anywhere.

So, who's hosting the viewing party? Someone other than Alan, please (I want to be somewhat happy).

Those of us (50+ or so that I know of) traveling to the game are planning on meeting/gathering at Foghorn's.

It should be a great time, even better if we could find a way to win it. Have a great trip. :thumb:

Those of us here, I may be down at Front Row over by Hillsboro Stadium. I need to talk to them about maybe setting something up for the next game against Simon Fraser.

Although I am open if there is going to be a local group at the Cheerful Tortoise (or somewhere) :D
